5 Best Catering Services in Glasgow for Stress-Free Events

Menu quality and local sourcing - We looked for caterers that use seasonal Scottish produce and offer menus that feel fresh, not generic. Bonus points if they lean into local trends like grazing tables, fire-led cooking, or modern street food concepts.

Event specialisation - The best caterers usually excel in a specific type of event, such as weddings, corporate boardroom lunches, or private dining at home. A company that understands the pacing and expectations of the event type tends to deliver a smoother experience.

Transparent pricing (per head) - Are there clear price-per-head estimates? Most clients budget around guest numbers. We checked if the quote includes essentials like staffing, setup, crockery, and clean-up, and not hiding them as add-ons.

Logistics and flexibility - Great caterers handle the practical side well; mobile kitchens, food vans, outdoor fire cooking, or eco-friendly setups adapt to different venues. The easier they make it for the host, the more valuable the service becomes.

I’ve been speaking to a few party planners for gallery events lately, and it turns out many can organise the fairy lights and balloons, but not the food. That’s when my hunt for the proper catering options in Glasgow began.

The scene has moved well past limp buffets and mystery sandwiches. Now, there are fire-and-smoke grills, interactive grazing tables, and eco-minded caterers serving Scottish produce straight from farm to fork!

This guide rounds up the best catering in Glasgow for weddings, corporate lunches, and home parties that deserve better than last-minute supermarket platters. Forks up!

How much is catering in Glasgow?

Catering in Glasgow is generally more affordable than in London, with average event catering sitting at around £38 per guest.

For lighter setups, a business breakfast usually costs £8 to £12 per head, a cold buffet is around £15 to £18, a hot buffet is £20 to £28, and a street food van serving things like pizza, gyros, tacos, or tacos often comes in at £12 to £15 per head.

For more formal events, a 3-course plated meal usually starts at £40 to £55 per guest, while a luxury private chef experience with around 7 courses can range from £85 to over £150 per head.

When my college friends got engaged, the first thing they asked for (after the ring photos) was a proper wedding feast. That’s how we stumbled into Really Delicious Catering & Events, a Glasgow caterer that takes celebrations as seriously as the couple does.

Their menus lean into the fun stuff: grazing tables piled high, wood-fired pizza, and even fire-led feasts that feel made for outdoor weddings. They also cover the practical side with corporate buffets, private dining, and full event productions that run like clockwork.

My friends loved their over 2 decades of experience. They build bespoke menus around the event, which my foodie pals appreciated. It’s brilliant for those who want something more memorable than standard chicken-and-veg wedding fare (we’ve all had those, right?).

They also champion seasonal Scottish ingredients without making it feel like a lecture on sustainability. I reckon they will suit rustic outdoor weddings, stylish home parties, or polished art gallery exhibit launches.

That said, weekend bookings can come with higher spends, and peak wedding season dates (May, June, and December) can disappear fast if you don’t plan ahead.

Pros

  • Strong celebration focus
  • Highly bespoke approach
  • Full event support (event planning, management, employee hire, etc.)
  • Broad format range

Cons

  • More premium than budget-first
  • Service scope might not suit clients with simpler needs

The food was incredible, everyone loved the variety & service

Can’t recommend Really Delicious highly enough! Johnny & Thomas catered my friend’s hen party, and everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The food was incredible, everyone loved the variety & service. Johnny and Thomas were so attentive and took away all the stress of cooking/clearing up after, so we could continue with our night!

She made the whole evening seem effortless

I have been planning my Mum’s 60th Birthday surprise dinner party with Molly for several months, meticulously thinking of every fine detail to make it a truly luxurious evening for my Mum’s friends and family. Working in the luxury event industry myself, I would say my standards are very high, and not many meet my expectations. However, Molly went above and beyond what I could have imagined. She had totally understood my vision for the table layout/decoration, and it looked truly stunning – I didn’t need to change a thing. She worked tirelessly with two other catering staff members throughout the evening, ensuring all guests always had a drink in hand and catered to their every need. The food was also delicious – we had canapés followed by a 4-course meal. She made the whole evening seem effortless, and nothing was too much trouble! Every single guest commented, and we are all left with wonderful memories from a truly special evening. Hats off to Molly, a true asset to Really Delicious.

For our gallery’s latest exhibit opening, the brief was simple: feed a crowd of art lovers without serving the usual sad tray of vol-au-vents. That’s how I landed on Peck Catering, a Glasgow caterer that treats food service like it’s art.

Their lineup ranges from elegant canapes and corporate buffets to private dining and lively mobile street food setups. It’s the sort of spread that works just as well beside abstract paintings as it does at a wedding barn or a buzzing office launch.

What impressed all of us (gallery staff, artists, and guests) was their flexible bespoke menus built around seasonal Scottish ingredients. We saw rustic ingredients like wild garlic and rhubarb, and even smoked haddock transformed into lovely nibbles!

They made the food and presentation feel thoughtful rather than formulaic. Their team runs a slick operation, too; the trays arrived looking like tiny art installations, not last-minute panicked catering fare.

I’d recommend them for art gallery openings and stylish private parties where presentation matters as much as flavour. However, smaller events might find the weekend minimum spend a bit steep.

Pros

  • Grazing table specialist
  • Flexible for small to mid-sized events
  • Good corporate-friendly range
  • Strong presentation and dietary handling

Cons

  • Not focused on fire-led feasts
  • Leans more on cold spreads and sharing formats, not plated dinners

Food was delicious, and communication was great

Lovely afternoon tea board, which was for 8-10 people for a work meeting. Everything came fresh and sealed. Everyone was pleased and commented on how nice it was. Food was delicious, and communication was great. One suggestion – would be good if some of the food was labelled or had a food sheet with the food, just in case of allergies/ vegan/ preferences (surprise, so was not asked in advance)- I didn’t even think to ask for this myself prior.

They all arrived on time

Ordered a variety of sandwich platters for a corporate event, and I am so impressed. They all arrived on time, were all spectacularly displayed and labelled, and all tasted amazing. Big shout out to Carly for going above and beyond with sorting my (seemingly never-ending!) requests and dietary requirements! You were an absolute star, and I’m so appreciative of your patience and understanding. Will definitely be recommending to others and ordering again in the future. Thanks, Peck Catering and Carly.

Mum’s birthday falls on one of those rare Glasgow summer days when the sun actually shows up, so a BBQ felt like the only sensible plan. We got Top Class Catering with its grills, menus, and the sort of calm organisation my chaotic family definitely needs.

They’re particularly strong with BBQs, fire-led feasts, corporate buffets, and private dining, which makes outdoor parties surprisingly easy to pull off. The team essentially brings the kitchen with them, so our garden smelled like a proper summer festival.

We were all in awe of their flexible menu packages that offered a little bit of something for every type of budget and preference. With years of catering experience, they have the knack for running events like they’re regular things, not something to panic over.

They’re best suited for rustic outdoor events, sunny gatherings, and relaxed corporate BBQs where people want real food instead of limp buffet trays. Oh, and the portions matched for our hungry tummies, too.

Do note that summer weekends can come with higher minimum spends, and that the menu style leans heavily toward BBQ and buffet formats.

Pros

  • Strong BBQ and outdoor party angle
  • Very budget-friendly positioning
  • No hidden charges
  • Generous serving portions

Cons

  • More practical than premium/luxury positioning
  • Peak summer and wedding dates can be hard to book

All my guests said the food was lovely

Don’t know where to start to thank Eddie and his team for doing the catering for my 50th birthday last week. They took care of absolutely everything, and I didn’t have to lift a finger. All my guests said the food was lovely. They took care of all the clearing away of food and clearing tables, too. Was such a weight off my mind, meaning I could enjoy my party and have time to chat with my guests. I will definitely be recommending them to everyone!

Everything went so smoothly on the day

From the beginning, Stephen shared his experience and came across as a genuine, honest person. When it came to the eventual running of our wedding day, Top Class were professionals and clearly highly experienced in weddings. Everything went so smoothly on the day. Our food was served really quickly, and our guests were impressed with the food quality and serving sizes. All the staff were very friendly and helpful on the day and made our guests feel welcome. Thanks, Stephen and everyone else, you exceeded our expectations (which were already pretty high!)

After landing a big career win, my sister wanted to celebrate with something that obviously called for more than prosecco and crisps from the supermarket. She found First Class Catering, which can roll up with both the food and a proper mobile bar!

Their setup covers corporate buffets, private dining, street-food style catering, and a full mobile bar service. That alone made our house party feel like a real event!

They’re particularly handy when the drinks, food, and service all arrive together instead of being cobbled from three different suppliers. I mean, who has time for all that when you just want to put things in your mouth and drink the night away?

My sister liked the flexible options, so the spread felt more thoughtful, not falling back on traditional sad party fare of stale chips and dips. And instead of babysitting trays and shooing away flies, the team was dynamic and ran things with a smooth production flair.

They’re great for stylish home celebrations, office milestone parties, and relaxed weddings where a mobile setup and catered food need to work together seamlessly.

The downside? Mobile bar packages may require additional licensing coordination with the venue, especially for private homes or event spaces.

Pros

  • Mobile bar is a unique offering
  • Strong all-in-one event extras (venue dressing, table and chair covers, etc.)
  • Customisable menus
  • Good with dietary and special requests

Cons

  • Pricing is mostly enquiry-based
  • Package-led appeal might not suit minimalists who only need food service

We have received so many compliments about the quality and quantity of food

First Class Catering served our food and ran the bar for our wedding at the tail end of 2025. The whole experience was perfect. From our first meetings with Scott, no request was too much. Scott conducts business in a cool and relaxed manner, which is a godsend in the stress of organising a wedding. We have received so many compliments about the quality and quantity of food, the prices of the bar, and lots of general positive reports on how pleasant the staff were. Scott and the team definitely live up to their name. Thank you!

The staff were on the ball all day

Scott and his team did a fantastic job at our wedding. From the beginning, they were very communicative and eager to accommodate any requests. We had a fantastic wedding day with lovely food that guests could not complement enough. What’s more, the staff were on the ball all day, meaning we didn’t have to worry at all about our guests all being catered for 🙂 They also did a fantastic job with the table setup! Thanks again for helping us make our day unforgettable.

I attended a wedding recently where the buffet somehow felt as elegant as a proper plated dinner. That was my introduction to CaterItaly, a company that brings a distinctly Italian sense of abundance to the table.

They specialise in buffets, both sit-down and traditional queued service, often with big Mediterranean spreads that keep guests happily hovering over the food.

It’s less about tiny canapes (though they do offer finger food options) and more about generous platters that make a wedding meal feel like a proper celebration. They do bespoke menus with a decidedly Italian way of using quality seasonal ingredients, coupled with smooth event service.

I could tell the bride and groom were happy with how the whole production went, with a reassuring calm that told all of us they’ve done this dozens of times before.

I reckon they’re best suited for lively weddings, milestone celebrations, and hearty home parties where guests appreciate delicious, shareable food. That said, the menu leans strongly Italian, so don’t expect a lot of Scottish ingredients in the spread.

Pros

  • Specialist in Italian-style buffet formats
  • Can cater with on-site kitchen
  • Family-run (with a clear Italian identity)

Cons

  • May not suit clients looking for dishes outside of Italian cuisine
  • Buffet-led branding rather than chef-theatre catering

The tiramisu was to die for

The perfect wedding caterers! We had CaterItaly for our wedding meal, and they were absolutely amazing from start to finish. The food was delicious, authentic Italian (my absolute favourite!), and there was so much of it — plenty of choice, and everyone loved it. The tiramisu was to die for, the lasagne was gorgeous, and the canapés were beautiful. Chef Francesca is so lovely and sweet, and Franco and Stefano were just as wonderful — friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. You can really taste the love and authenticity in every dish. We couldn’t have asked for better caterers for our special day. Highly, highly recommend CaterItaly!

Our guests enjoyed the meal

A huge big thank u to Cateritaly (Franco and Francesca)⁰. We approached them to cater for a graduation party for 65 on friday 10th October. They were very warm and very supportive and helped us plan an amazing hot buffet meal. Their prices were good, and they were very flexible and kind. They worked with us all the way and put us so much at ease. They delivered exactly on time, and the food was amazing. The lasagne. The deserts. Tiramisu n fruit tarts were a favourite. The entire service was superb. I can not praise them enough. Our guests enjoyed the meal and could not stop commenting on how tasty it was. I can say they delivered on all fronts. I highly recommend them. Thank you so much, Cateritaly (Franco and Francesca).
