The 5 Best Oral Surgeons in Glasgow for Gentle Hands and Precise Procedures

Surgical Expertise: We looked for clinicians with formal hospital-grade training and postgraduate qualifications. A surgeon with a maxillofacial background ensures complex extractions are handled safely.

Patient Comfort: We checked for clinics offering dedicated conscious sedation and advanced pain-free techniques. This ensures nervous patients can undergo invasive procedures without unnecessary trauma.

Advanced Diagnostics: We prioritised practices that use on-site 3D imaging to plan treatments accurately. Pinpoint mapping of your jawbone drastically reduces surgical risks and speeds up recovery.

Transparent Pricing: We evaluated how clearly each clinic communicates their treatment fees upfront. An itemised cost estimate helps you avoid nasty financial surprises later on.

When you’re dealing with a problematic wisdom tooth or planning for a full arch restoration, you want to make sure you’re in safe, capable hands. We know that these treatments can be scary, so we want a reliable dentist to make the process easier.

We looked for the best oral surgeons in Glasgow for a smooth, pain-free procedure. From complex extractions to bone grafting, these professionals have you covered!

Read on and find the right fit for your dental needs!

Painless transformation from start to finish

A big thank you to Brendan and his team. From start to finish they made me feel at ease and kept me informed of what they were doing next. My treatment turned into a painless transformation.

If you are looking to get any dental work done please contact Brendan and his team first, you won’t be disappointed.

Reassuring care during wisdom tooth removal

I recently had a wisdom tooth extracted, which I was nervous about due to complications with another one that was removed years ago at a dental hospital.

Brendan and Rebecca put me at ease from the start by being friendly, explaining each step and making sure the correct aftercare was followed.

It’s been difficult for me to find a dental practice that I feel comfortable in but I’ve not got the usual future treatments dread, which is reassuring.

Reassuring and gentle dental implant experience

For years, my fear of dental implants held me back from going through with the treatment, but choosing Michael was the best decision I could have made. From the very first appointment, he took the time to explain the entire process in great detail, answering all my questions with patience and reassurance. He made me feel completely at ease and confident that I was in the very best hands.

Welcoming staff and clear dental procedure support

The whole team at SCED were fab, everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Both Dr.Carton and Nurse Sandie made sure I was well informed and looked after before, during and after the coronectomy of my lower left wisdom tooth and upper left wisdom tooth removal. Dr. Carton explained everything clearly and took the time to make sure I understood my options for removal, the procedure, and aftercare and what to expect, which greatly helped my nerves throughout the process and Nurse Sandie held my hand during the removals and provided much needed support!

Expert care and reassurance throughout treatment

I was very apprehensive ahead of having one and (and then a second) wisdom tooth/teeth removed. However, everyone at SCDE made me feel very welcome and comfortable.

Mr Andrew Carton was described by his team as “the maestro” and both he and the team were very reassuring, professional and effective. I felt looked after before, during and after the procedures.

It was expensive, however the flexibility in being able to choose dates and times were really helpful. Overall, I feel that the support and expertise of Mr Carton made the procedures  the best that they could have been

Patient, non-judgmental, and pain-free dentistry

Anthony explained everything that was going on, and was patient with me and not judgemental (it has been quite a while since I last had the courage to visit a dentist)

A few fillings and an extraction to get us started, and I didn’t feel any pain at all, not even a nip from the injection.

I have a few more appointments and, thanks to how I’ve been treated so far, I am far less nervous about them.

Fast emergency relief and friendly staff

I had horrible toothache and was lucky enough to get a last minute appointment as it was an emergency. We Decided it would be best to extract the tooth. I Got it taken out there and then and didn’t feel 1 bit of pain. Needless to say i walked out smiling again.

The practice is Always professional, friendly and talk you through the battle plan for whatever work you need done.

Great location as well for those without a car. Train station and bus stops close by.
