Taking the whole family out to the countryside usually means booking multiple rooms, but fortunately, Craigmaddie Glamping can keep everyone under the same roof with spacious units that easily sleep up to six people.

The rooms offer fantastic modern touches like a dedicated wood-clad sauna pod right on the property, plus underfloor heating.

Fast Wi-Fi and USB ports ensure you never feel completely disconnected from civilization while out in nature.

Since it’s just a short drive from the city and practically next to the Milngavie starting point of the West Highland Way, you really cannot beat the convenience of this location.

The only real downside is that the property sits beneath high-voltage power lines, which might be a minor visual distraction for some.

Had everything we needed

Stayed in Craigmaddie Glamping pods last week while visiting family. We are a family of 5. The pods were clean, small but perfectly formed, and had everything we needed, including milk and tea bags. Brian and Anne were very knowledgable, helpful and friendly. Would definately come back again.

They equip every pod with a private hot tub that stays heated for your entire trip. When a friend stayed here last autumn, they raved about jumping straight into a warm tub without having to build a fire first.

You can even bring your dog along if you book the designated pet-friendly pod, making it a solid choice for animal lovers.

Just keep in mind that their dog rules are strict regarding furniture, and there are tight safety limits on how long you can soak in the hot water.

  • Custom country-style kitchenettes
  • Fire pits with grills on each deck

Cons

  • Strict two-night minimum for weekend stays

The view is stunning

One of my best stays ever, a rare find. The location is very convenient, the view is stunning, the jacuzzi a big luxury, the pod is really well equipped and decorated. Definitely worth the price. Nothing comes to mind about what could have been better.

A magical stay!

This was such a magical stay!! The pods were so cozy and had everything you could want. The hot tub was perfect for sunset and the cows came over to the fence to say hi while we were outside!! Wish we could’ve spent longer – truly one of the highlights of our 2 week trip! Sally was so accommodating and communicative. 10/10 recommend staying here!

Fantastic stay in the glamping pod

Fantastic stay in the glamping pod. The hosts were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. The pod is full equipped and had everything you need. Hot tub was lush as was the fire pit. We ordered breakfast for the first morning, and it was lovely, well worth it.

The shop on site was great, cash is preferred but you can bank transfer too.

I would definitely recommend!

The breakfast in the morning was fab

We had an amazing overnighter at Finn Village in the Sunset Glamping Pod. The pod was absolutely beautiful and on arrival Kate was so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast in the morning was fab. We opted for the package to have the hot tub heated before arriving and was so glad we did as we could get in the tub as soon as we arrived. Everything was decorated to such a high standard and felt very well taken care of. We really hope to return soon.

Hours: Check-in: 2:00 PM, Check-out: 10:00 AM

Sitting at the very base of the scenic Campsie Fells, Campsie Luxury Pods gives you unmatched access to nature just thirty minutes away from the busy city center.

Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the close proximity to picturesque waterfalls, making it an excellent basecamp for wild swimmers.

The units also feature expansive balconies for taking in the elevated landscape, and you might even spot wild barn owls nesting on the working farm!

For other attractions, you can easily stroll down a grassy track for about fifteen minutes to reach the local cafes in Clachan of Campsie.

Moreover, their self-check-in system operates via a simple keybox, giving you total privacy to arrive and settle in without coordinating with the staff.

Unfortunately, you might run into some confusing communication regarding their strict firewood rules, as guests are required to use specific wood without clear on-site signage explaining the policy.

Pros

  • Huge balconies with sweeping views
  • Contactless self-check-in system
  • 15-minute walk to local cafes
  • Easy access to wild swimming spots

Cons

  • Lack of signage explaining wood policies
  • Post-stay management messages feel impersonal
