The 5 Best Cat Grooming Services in Glasgow for a Tangle-Free Coat
When it comes to pampering our pets, cats often get a reputation for being self-sufficient. Sure, it’s true that felines spend a good chunk of their day grooming, but there are times when their own coat care needs a little extra help.
If your cat is struggling with stubborn mats or shedding up a storm during seasonal changes, you need to find a pet grooming salon to help restore their coat to a soft, healthy condition.
It can be tough to find a reliable place, but we’re here to save you the hassle of trial and error. We gathered the best cat grooming services in Glasgow to help your pet stay comfortable.

1. PURR Cat Grooming Ltd

Website: https://www.purrglasgow.com/
Address: Unit 88, 35 Rosyth Road, Morris Park
Contact: 0141 611 6369 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday to Friday 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM | Saturday and Sunday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
PURR Cat Grooming Ltd is Scotland’s first dedicated feline-only space. Your pet gets a quiet, dog-free sanctuary where they can enjoy low-stress grooming tailored to their unique needs.
The team books one pet at a time and uses a specialised DryVac system rather than a loud blow-dryer. This gentle drying process keeps the entire wash manageable, which perfectly suits owners of nervous cats who panic around typical salon equipment.
They even carry out a behavioural assessment before the first full session to test the animal’s tolerance.
The downside is that they require strict punctuality, charging a £5 penalty for every 10 minutes you’re late to collect your pet. Because they lack boarding space, you must plan your day carefully around the appointment.

Incredible grooming care for Millie
Today I took my 1yr old cat, Millie, to Purr for her first ever grooming. I was a little nervous as to how Millie would react, but Saffa was absolutely INCREDIBLE and took the best care of her. Saffa was exceptionally knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions I had. She very clearly loves her job and being surrounded by cats, which is exactly what my gentle girl needed. Saffa and I also had a lovely wee chat while Millie was being groomed. She is an absolute joy to be around. I could not recommend this place enough!!

Stress-free grooming sessions for Long-haired cat
We’ve been taking our cat to PURR for some time now, and she absolutely loves it. They offer a meet-and-greet session so my kitten could get to know the team and feel more at ease before her full grooming appointments. This helped keep her calm and stress-free. Since we have a long-haired cat, grooming is essential. I would highly recommend the wonderful team at PURR!

2. Catsnip Grooming

Website: https://www.catsnipgrooming.com/
Address: 15 Fordbank Ave, Johnstone
Contact: 07353 351002 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday to Wednesday 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM | Thursday and Friday 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM | Saturday and Sunday 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Check availability through the online booking system first)
Catsnip Grooming offers a dual setup where you can either visit their home-based location or book a mobile session right in your living room. This way, you don’t have to force an anxious feline into a carrier.
The owner holds an iPET certification that gives her real-world techniques. She also relies on a patient, low-stress method to keep felines calm.
They offer a variety of services, including an express mini groom and a complete coat rescue. With all these, you can choose exactly what your cat needs.
Plus, they run an introduction package for young kittens to build positive associations early on. It comes with toys and treats too, for tiny felines.
But you can’t wait inside the Johnstone salon during a drop-off appointment, which is a bit of a bummer.

Fabulous in-depth grooming experience
Jenny was fabulous. Visited our cat Theo and gave him an in depth grooming experience. Removed all the tugs, small and large, leaving his coat fully back to its glossy best. Couldn’t be happier with the service. He is now better groomed than me 😉

Patient home grooming for nervous cat
Jenny came to see our cat Patch, who has a thick coat and had been shedding a lot. Patch is quite nervous of strangers, so I wasn’t sure how it would go! Jenny was able to come to the house to groom him, which was good as I think that helped him stay calm. She was great with him, so patient and friendly and she was able to get close to him to do what she needed to. He was happy to let her get on with it. She did a great job and his coat looks so much better

3. Pawcasso Glasgow

Website: https://pawcassogrooming.co.uk/
Address: 990 Crow Rd, Anniesland
Contact: 0141 959 8111 | [email protected]
Hours: Tuesday to Saturday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pawcasso Glasgow brings over two decades of styling experience to the table. Their groomers impressively hold active memberships in the Pet Industry Federation, proving they follow national handling standards.
They handle both cats and dogs but maintain strict appointments so the environment never feels overcrowded.
We like their all-inclusive full groom package, which bundles nail clipping, a thorough brush out, and a bath into one tidy visit. This consolidated approach works perfectly for long-haired cat owners who need head-to-tail maintenance without booking add-ons.
The catch is their cancellation policy, which forces you to call them at least 24 hours in advance if plans change. You can’t just send a quick text or email, which is slightly annoying if you’re stuck at work.

Urgent grooming and caring staff attention
My Persian cat was in urgent need of grooming services. I was immediately impressed by the caring attitude of the Staff and happy to leave Rosie to their care I now have a rather “baldie” pet with all deadhair go be. I look forward to further visits and wish I had known of this Service many months ago.

Amazing matting removal and friendly service
Took my sister’s cat Nala here today and she looks fab! She was getting a little matted in places, but they removed matting and all the dead hair. Staff were absolutely lovely and they even took a photo, which I’ve added to this review. Amazing job, highly recommend!

5. Divine Feline Scotland

Website: https://www.divinefelinescotland.co.uk/
Areas Served: Glasgow and the surrounding areas
Contact: [email protected]
Hours: Contact for availability
Divine Feline Scotland specialises in sedation-free matting removal right inside your own house. By avoiding heavy drugs, they protect older cats from the intense organ strain and dizzying hangovers that come with clinical shaving.
The founders use an exclusive zero-restraint framework that guides the animal into natural postures without any forced scruffing or pinning. This gentle technique is a relief for anxious cats, as the handlers can de-escalate fear before it turns into aggression.
They even offer a silent ultrasonic dental treatment to clear away plaque without causing any alarm.
Be aware that they enforce mandatory claw clipping during every visit, giving you no choice to opt out if your outdoor cat needs its claws.
