Treat your pet to a stress-free staycation at the best boarding kennels in Glasgow!
I thought I had it sorted. A pal was meant to look after my dog, Deacon, while I was away, but then pulled out at the last minute. I was stressing hard, thinking my pup would be stuck at home, feeling miserable.
Thankfully, I found a great boarding kennel just in time. They were lovely with him and kept me updated with photos and notes. Seeing him happy and playing made my whole trip way easier to enjoy.
I figured I’d share the best boarding kennels in Glasgow for anyone else in the same boat. These places can make sure your dog is having a good time while you’re away.
How much do boarding kennels charge per day in Glasgow?
Most boarding kennels in Glasgow charge £30 per day for one dog. Prices can vary depending on the type of amenities offered, your dog’s size, and any extra services like grooming or special care.
1. Allers Farm Kennels

Services offered: Pet boarding for dogs and cats, on-site grooming, and pet pick-up and delivery
Address: Allers Farm, Stoneymeadow Rd, East Kilbride
Phone number: +44 1698 820238
Business hours:
8:30 AM – 4:00 PM (MON-FRI)
8:30 AM – 1:00 PM (SAT and SUN)
Allers Farm Kennels is a solid choice, especially since they’ve been looking after pets since 1991. It’s tucked away in High Blantyre, surrounded by trees, which makes it a calm spot for dogs and cats to settle in without fuss.
The setup is clean and practical. They’ve got CCTV throughout the site, which adds peace of mind, and they provide all the basics like beds, bowls, and toys. If you prefer, they can supply the food too, including their own Super Premium and Grain Free options.
One thing to note, though: they don’t do raw feeding, so that’s something to plan for.
They also offer grooming on-site, and there’s a pick-up and delivery service if you’re short on time. Just keep in mind that during the festive season, including Christmas and New Year, this service is only available before midday.
Our dog had a great time
“Brilliant place, staff are very friendly and our dog had a great time. I would highly recommend but would advise booking early. It is very busy and tells you how good it is.”

2. Levernbank Kennels

Services offered: Dog and cat boarding, dog daycare, grooming, and wedding chaperone
Address: Glasgow Rd
Phone number: +44 141 881 2642
Business hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (MON-SUN)
Levernbank Kennels has been around since 1988, making them one of the oldest boarding kennels on this list. Their kennels are quite decent, with heated indoor areas and covered runs that give dogs a bit of space and comfort. There’s also a good-sized outdoor area where dogs can stretch their legs and burn off energy.
Food-wise, they offer quality options like Arkwright’s Chicken and Alpha Beef, and if your dog is on a raw diet, they’ll sort that too for £2.80 per kilogramme.
Grooming is available if you want your pet freshened up during their stay, and if you’re boarding more than one animal, they’ll give you a decent 10% discount.
On the downside, their 15% non-refundable deposit can feel a bit steep. A few clients I’ve talked to have also mentioned rude behaviour from staff, which is disappointing.
I wouldn’t use anything else
“My dogs go here for holiday boarding, and occasional days, and they love it. They are well cared for, given attention, taken walks, kept in a routine, and well looked after and kept safe. I wouldn’t use anything else.”

3. Glenview Boarding Kennels (Pawss Pet Services)

Services offered: Pet boarding, medicine administration, and pet sitting
Address: 9 Alton Holdings, Milton of Campsie
Phone number: +44 7561 817148
Business hours: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (MON-SUN)
After weighing my options, I ended up entrusting Deacon to the team at Glenview Boarding Kennels. They’re also known as Pawss Pet Services and have over 20 years of experience.
Their place has 11 kennels with underfloor heating, beds, and toys. What really sold me was their tailored exercise routines. Deacon is always full of energy, so knowing someone was keeping an eye on him while he played gave me peace of mind.
I also liked that they do late-night paddock visits, which helps settle the dogs before bed. They can also give medication free of charge. Leigh Daly, who runs the place, has years of vet nursing experience, so you can trust them to give your pup their meds if needed.
The only downsides are the limited number of kennels and the fact that they can’t take diabetic dogs. Worth planning ahead if your pup has special needs.
Takes great care of the dogs and earns their trust
“Our dog Poppy has been going here for years- she just loves it here. When we arrive in the car she can’t wait to get through the gate and into the kennels. Chris takes great care of the dogs and earns their trust. 10/10.”

4. EK Hotel For Dogs

Services offered: Luxury dog boarding and grooming
Address: Millwell Rd, East Kilbride, Leaburn G75 0QL
Phone number: +44 1355 222227
Business hours: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM (MON-SUN)
If you want your pup to enjoy a proper holiday while you’re away, EK Hotel For Dogs in East Kilbride is worth a look. Each dog gets their own private suite with heating, patio doors, a covered outdoor run, and even a TV for dogs that like a bit of background noise!
They use automatic water bowls, too, so fresh drinking water is always available.
One thing I really like is the complimentary bath before checkout, which means your dog comes home clean. Grooming is also available for an extra fee if you fancy the full makeover.
That said, they don’t offer home pickup or drop-off, which can be a hassle as their location is a bit far from Glasgow’s northern area. They also only accept dogs under 20 kilograms, so larger breeds are out of luck.
This place is amazing
“As a dog lover my dogs are like my children. I was nervous putting my dogs Aj and Bear here, as they’ve done day care elsewhere but not kennels. But all I can say is if you are in doubt, don’t be. Don’t go elsewhere. This place is amazing. The grounds and the areas are spot on for dogs. I got updates throughout their stay reassuring me they boys were doing good. It really helped. The staff were so professional and friendly and just seemed like dog lovers. They were flexible with me at changing or adding or amending times and dates! The dogs came home happy boys, when I went to collect them they didn’t want to leave! That speaks volumes!! Thanks so much EK hotel for dogs. We will be back!”

Your dogs will love it
“As the name suggests, just like a hotel, this is the place to leave your loved ones, safe in the knowledge they will be cared for by people who take a pride in the care they give your dogs, I racked my brain to find any fault and seriously came up with nothing, your dogs will love it, mine did every time and I highly recommend using EK Hotel for dogs, it’s a holiday for them as well as you 😊”

Clyde Valley Pet Retreat is another luxury boarding kennel you might want to check out. They’ve been running since 2011 and offer private suites with underfloor heating, proper dog beds, and double-glazed windows that overlook the Clyde Valley. It’s a peaceful setup that feels more like a boutique hotel than a kennel.
I think they’re a solid choice for anxious pet owners, especially with their 24-hour live webcam feed in every suite. They also supply Burns Chicken and Rice or Pork and Potato, both good options for dogs with sensitive stomachs.
Their collection and delivery service is handy too, especially since their location is a fair distance from Glasgow’s northern neighbourhoods.
Just keep in mind they only have eight suites, so bookings fill up quickly. They also require a 50% non-refundable deposit.
