5 Best POS System Providers in Glasgow for Smoother Sales
After going through company registration for my small business, I quickly realised that the real work starts at the till.
A good POS system in Glasgow isn’t just for taking payments; it keeps track of stock, sales, and VAT, and helps prevent staff chaos from becoming a full-time headache.
Here are some of the top ones I’d shortlist for smoother selling, better inventory control, and fewer missing stocks.
How much does a POS system in Glasgow cost?
A POS system in Glasgow usually costs £500 to £2,500 upfront, depending on the hardware, setup, and number of tills needed.
Basic tablet-style systems are cheaper, while full retail or hospitality setups with scanners, printers, cash drawers, kitchen displays, and multiple terminals cost more.
Monthly software fees can go up to around £165, plus card transaction fees of roughly 1% to 2.75%.
A note of caution: don’t just chase the cheapest till. Compare support, VAT reporting, stock control, integrations, and payment fees, too.
1. ACR Epos Systems

Address: 570 Pollokshaws Rd
Contact: +441414240558
Business hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5.30 PM
ACR Epos Systems caught my friend’s eye when she started looking for a restaurant till in her Finnieston shop. She needed something that could handle more than just card payments, and this provider could offer precisely that.
They’re best suited to independent hospitality and retail businesses, especially restaurants, bars, cafes, takeaways, and shops that need a practical EPOS setup. She liked how it feels built for real service floors, not just neat back-office reports.
For a Glasgow eatery like hers, features such as touchscreen tills, stock control, payment hardware, online ordering support, and potential delivery integrations make it easier to manage tables, orders, and rush-hour chaos.
She tells me their hardware comes across as sturdy and workmanlike, with touchscreen systems, barcode tools, a cashless payment kit, and Sharp/Casio-linked equipment in the mix. The setup also looks less intimidating than a DIY cloud system.
For her restaurant setup, she budgets roughly around £500 to £2,500 upfront since pricing is quote-based and not on a flat monthly plan. Her budget depends on the terminals, printers, payment devices, online ordering tools, and support.
That said, the setup feels a bit more traditional than slicker cloud-first POS brands, so it’s better for owners like her who value local support over shiny dashboards.
There is always someone on call to help
We have used ACR Epos for almost 7 years. It has always been great. We have developed a great relationship with Paul and his team. We can phone anytime, and they will dial in to help. If you have a care package, there is always someone on call to help! We have always used ACR, and with 2 new businesses opening soon, we see absolutely no need to change that.

State-of-the-art EPOS systems
I have worked with ACR for nearly 20 years. Recently, they helped yet again with a small fiddly job, updating the whole system with tiny changes. As always, never a bother for them and always turn jobs around quickly, professionally and with a smile! State-of-the-art EPOS systems with old-school customer service. They won’t let you down!

2. Argyll Systems

Address: UNIT 25D, Anniesland Business Park, Netherton Rd
Contact: +441419506766
Business hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM
As a former convenience store manager, I’d say Argyll Systems is a good match for an inventory-heavy shop. After all, its core specialisation is independent retail EPOS, with stock control, warehousing, barcode scanning, and POS terminals built into its service mix.
I’ve always appreciated how it focuses on the boring but vital stuff like stock counts, scanning, sales flow, and keeping the queue moving. The setup also suits shops that need multi-channel stock visibility.
With POS terminals, thermal receipt printers, cash drawers, and EPOS software, the hardware feels practical and shop floor-ready. The local setup and support are also welcome, and easier than dealing with a faceless national call centre.
For our convenience store, the owner budgeted around £1,500 for a proper EPOS setup, but I would still expect a quote-based package depending on your stock modules, support, and required number of tills.
I would also recommend confirming e-commerce, accounting, and delivery platform syncing before signing.
Easy-to-use EPOS system
Delighted we decided on Argyll Systems for our first retail unit. Easy-to-use EPOS system, and the team at Argyll could not be more supportive. 10/10!

First-class service
Since taking over the pub 6 years ago, I’ve worked with John at Argyll Systems. They provided EPOS terminals, an ordering app for the beer garden, and card facilities for the bar and function suite. It’s been a pleasure to work with them. I highly recommend Argyll Systems for an EPOS system. First Class Service 100%!.

3. time2dine-Migsoft Ltd

Address: Glasgow Business Park, 301 Springhill Pkwy, Baillieston

Business hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM–6 PM
True to its name, time2dine felt tailor-made for my sister’s restaurant search, especially because it focuses on hospitality EPOS rather than general retail tills. The touchscreen POS options suit smaller dining rooms and takeaway counters like hers.
Its sweet spot is independent restaurants, cafes, and takeaways that need table bookings, online orders, and payment flow in one place. She liked how the system was developed with restaurant owners, so it doesn’t feel like a generic checkout system wearing an apron.
It supports POS hardware and software, online ordering, QR code ordering, touchscreens, bookings, collection, delivery, and dine-in orders. She says the hardware side looks flexible rather than overcomplicated.
She also appreciates how it’s reassuringly local. time2dine-Migsoft is a Glasgow-based IT company with an active registered office in Baillieston, so it’s easier to reach out to them in case something needs to be resolved.
The downside is that delivery app links like Uber Eats and Deliveroo need to be confirmed directly, since the site highlights online orders and payments more than named third-party integrations.
An absolute time saver
Great concept, and an absolute time saver for all people who only have an hour for lunch, and don’t want to spend half of it deciding what to order and waiting for it to be cooked and served. Can’t wait for loads more restaurants to get on board with Time2Dine.

4. Premier EPOS Scotland

Address: Office 1:1, 1 Redwood Cres, East Kilbride
Contact: +441416331440
Business hours: Daily, 9 AM–7 PM
I first became aware of Premier EPOS after wondering who powers those self-service kiosks I keep seeing at my favourite food hall.
I found out its core specialisation is hospitality and retail EPOS, with a clear strength in kiosks, tills, and card machines for cafes, restaurants, pubs, clubs, and shops. Now I know why it’s the practical choice for a busy food hall setup.
Its SAM4S Astra self-service kiosk is built for faster ordering and smoother payments. Meanwhile, the SAM4S Sapphire touchscreen suits both hospitality and retail counters.
The hardware looks service-floor-ready, with touchscreen terminals, kiosks, and card-machine options designed for high-volume use. I reckon setup is easy, since Premier supplies, installs, and supports systems across Scotland, with 24/7 tech support.
If there’s a catch, it’s that it may suit hardware-heavy venues better than owners who only want a light, cloud-first software subscription. I’d also confirm delivery app integrations, VAT/MD tools, and exact rental terms before letting the kiosk take everyone’s lunch orders.
They will go above and beyond
Cannot recommend Premier Cash Registers enough! Alistair and Brian are absolutely fantastic to communicate with, and nothing is ever too much for them! If you are looking for cash registers, tills, or EPOS systems, they will go above and beyond to supply you with them and help!

The system is very user-friendly and easy to use
Had a great experience!! Spoke to Alistair, and within less than a week, we had our EPOS installed and programmed. Excellent communication from Alistair, clear training was given on our install day. The system is very user-friendly and easy to use. Would definitely recommend Premier Cash Registers!

5. MHouse Business Solutions Ltd

Address: 2nd Floor, Excel House, 1 Renshaw Pl
Contact: +448002425360
Business hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM
MHouse Business Solutions caught my eye because it felt built for convenience stores like mine that plan to grow in the future. Its core specialisation is independent retail EPOS, especially convenience stores that need stock control, payments, back-office tools, handhelds, and self-service options.
As a small shop owner, I liked how mPOS is designed by retailers for retailers, so the features sound properly shop-floor tested. There’s real-time stock control, instant reports, integrations, waste control, theft reduction, and tools that can keep my shelves and margins in check.
I also appreciate how the hardware and setup look scalable for my future store plans. They’re built for everything from single-lane stores to multi-lane operations, with support, maintenance, back-ups, and warranty included in the packages.
Their stats are reassuring, too. They claim to have over 1,000 UK retailers and more than 1,200 mPOS clients, thanks to their main technical highlights, which include cloud-style oversight, analytics, and even electronic shelf-edge labels!
That said, MHouse may be overkill if you only need a cheap card reader and a basic till. I’d also ask for clear costs on upgrades, priority callouts, integrations, and support tiers before scaling the shop empire one barcode at a time.
They have been a great asset
MHouse Solutions has been providing me with services for the past 10 years, and I have always been extremely satisfied with the quality and reliability of their services. They provide highly efficient and trustworthy services at very reasonable prices. Whenever I have had any issues, the team has gone out of their way to help me out, and Faisal Sattar has been an indispensable asset to MHouse. He has provided me with an attentive and professional level of service from the very start. He is always willing to go the extra mile and help me with any query or problem I have. His technical knowledge, professionalism and commitment to customer service have been a great asset to MHouse.
