Feeling frazzled? Try these 5 best Reiki practitioners in Glasgow

  • Accreditation and ethics - We checked for verified membership with bodies like the UK Reiki Federation or CNHC, since that gives us more confidence in their standards and professionalism.
  • Experience and lineage - We looked at the practitioner’s training lineage, years of clinical experience, and whether they seem grounded enough to guide clients through the sessions.
  • Range and convenience - We considered how accessible the location is, and whether they offer useful options like distance healing, crystal add-ons, or varied session formats.
  • Real client feedback - We paid close attention to client testimonials and word-of-mouth feedback, especially comments about long-term emotional impact, and whether the practitioner explains Reiki in a calm, clear way without making it overly mystical or confusing.

When stress starts sitting on my shoulders rent-free, a calm room and some integrative energy work suddenly sounds very sensible.

So I started eyeing Reiki the way I eye some stretches in yoga classes in Glasgow; if it feels suspiciously life-changing, I’m interested! If, like me, you’re juggling burnout, big life shifts, or permanently tensed, this post is for you.

For this review of the best Reiki sessions in Glasgow, I’m not after incense-and-vibes fluff, but something grounded, ethical, soothing, and with mindfulness, chakra balancing, plus a practitioner who knows how to hold a safe space.

How much does Reiki in Glasgow cost?

In Glasgow, Reiki usually costs £35 to £60 for a standard 45 to 60-minute session (for stress relief or general relaxation). If you want a longer 90-minute healing session, often with extras like guided meditation and chakra clearing, prices typically sit around £55 to £70.
Reiki Level 1 training generally costs £150 to £175 for a full-day certification and attunement. You can also find Reiki shares or group sessions for about £6-£15 per person.
Some practitioners also offer starter bundles, such as 3 sessions for £110, if you want a more regular energetic reset.

When the news cycle has me feeling like a wrung-out gym towel, Awakened Energy Healing is my place for a reset. The Kinning Park studio is calm and serene, and Tom’s focus on nervous system support and emotional release suits the kind of stress I have.

It’s not sold as a one-note Reiki session. They blend Reiki with meditation-informed guidance, and the practice also offers extras like Distance Reiki, Pellowah, and the MiddleWave meditation option if you want support beyond in-person visits.

I find the space bright and professional, which does a lot to my already frazzled nerves that refuse to participate in anything performative. Past clients I also managed to interview mention how Tom is clear with questions, and leaves people feeling notably relaxed after each session.

I’d recommend Awakened Energy Healing to anyone in Glasgow who wants Reiki with a more integrative and modern feel, not a super-mystical hard sell. It’s a good fit for people dealing with burnout, anxiety, or work-week stress.

The main catch is that it may feel a bit more spiritually expansive than what a strict evidence-first client might be after, especially with coaching, mentorship, and Pellowah in the mix.

Pros

  • Offers a more integrative mix than plain Reiki
  • Suits people dealing with stress, anxiety, and nerves
  • Warm, non-intimidating practitioner style
  • Location is less city-centre hectic

Cons

  • May not be a good fit for those looking for evidence-first methods
  • Not the handiest for city-centre dwellers looking to squeeze a session during lunch

Customer Reviews

It was the best experience I’ve had so far

Met Tom yesterday for a regular reiki session, wasn’t my first time doing reiki, but it was the best experience ive had with it so far – because of Tom, he is very fruitful and immersive, you can tell he really cares about his clients, and will go above and beyond to truly help people, even the conversation we had before and after was so refreshing, i decided to go all out and try his middlewave technology, first session this morning and i just feel.. so present and in harmony with myself and the beautiful world around me, i have already recommended Tom to my friends, and if your reading this, you wont regret booking with him! All love and peace.

I left feeling totally at peace of mind

Went for a Reiki session with Tom, and I couldn’t recommend it enough. I left feeling totally at peace of mind, and that’s what I needed, to be made to feel so welcome and comfortable & really took the time to listen to everything I was telling him and gave me the reassurance I needed. Overall, so so happy with the full experience.

My sister’s geriatric cat has reached that stage where every jump requires his full concentration (and more than a couple of minutes to accomplish). So she took him to Clear Channel Reiki, since it has a dedicated Animal Reiki program.

Marilyn, the practitioner, offers it as a gentle, non-invasive session for pets. My sister said it felt like a kinder, complementary option for her elderly wee beast, who mostly wants comfort.

The Animal Reiki isn’t tucked away as an afterthought to regular people’s Reiki, too, which my sis appreciated. Marilyn is a Certified Animal Reiki practitioner as of 2026, and also offers a Shared Sanctuary session for owners and pets together (lovely idea if both of you are feeling strung out!).

The wider practice also feels experienced and well-established. Marilyn has been treating the public since 2017, with sessions based in Govan. There’s also Distance Reiki if you want support from home.

She now recommends Clear Channel Reiki to other furparents who want calm, complementary support for an older animal, a nervous rescue, or a pet recovering from surgery, especially if they also like a practitioner with human Reiki and training experience behind her.

That said, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea if they want a more medically framed service. Animal Reiki also comes with a travel fee of £1 per mile, but my sister reckons it’s a small price to pay to have her sweet old cat feel calmer after every session.

Pros

  • Offers dedicated Animal Reiki
  • Has a Shared Sanctuary session for pets and owners
  • Clear Reiki teaching background
  • Offers niche add-ons like crystal therapy and shamanic drumming

Cons

  • A 90-minute session may be too long for easily distracted pets
  • Travel fees for animal sessions can push up costs

Customer Reviews

I felt uplifted and cleared of issues and blockages

I had previously received a Reiki session in another practice in Glasgow, and it left me underwhelmed. However, my experience at Clear Channel Reiki was totally next level and absolutely transformative. The experience was profoundly calming, cleansing and restorative. The feedback afterwards from Marilyn was fascinating, and I can genuinely say I felt uplifted and cleared of issues and blockages that had been holding me back. I have since bought a gift voucher for someone and booked a future date again for myself. Whether you are familiar with Reiki or wish to gain your first insight, I wholly recommend Clear Channel Reiki for unmatchable results.

I’ve felt calmer, clearer and generally more like I want to feel

I visited Marilynn for my first Reiki session last week. Looking to bring balance to how I felt, she provided a calm presence from her treatment room at The Pearce Institute in Govan. I’ve felt calmer, clearer and generally more like I want to feel since the visit, and really can’t recommend her enough. I’m looking forward to booking again in the New Year.

My neighbour wanted something gentler for her elderly mum in London, and Angelic Sounds Holistic made that surprisingly doable from Glasgow. Lou offers distance Reiki specifically for clients anywhere in the world, so it suits families organising comfort across postcodes.

The studio offers Usui, Holy Fire, and Karuna Reiki. Lou is also a master teacher member of the Reiki Federation, which gave my neighbour a bit of confidence that it’s an established practice.

She also liked that the distance sessions are not pitched as watered-down backup plans. Remote work includes a scan and a clear explanation afterwards, which she found useful for booking her mother and understanding what was actually done.

The home base is found inside Hot Yoga Glasgow, giving it a calm, tucked-away feel. There are home visits if needed, as well.

My neighbour now recommends Angelic Sounds Holistic to people who want Reiki with a broader energy-work menu. They are especially handy at supporting a loved one from afar, and are comfortable working both in person and at a distance.

That said, distance Reiki is priced the same as in-person services, so bargain hunters may not love paying full rate for a remote session.

Pros

  • Offers distance Reiki worldwide
  • The treatment menu feels broader than a single setup
  • Also offers home visits and animal healing
  • Calm wellness setting

Cons

  • Distance Reiki and in-person service rates are the same
  • The South side location may be less inconvenient for quick pop-ins from the city centre

I have recommended her to many of my friends

Louise is such a lovely lady. She is also a skilled practitioner, and I have recommended her to many of my friends.

An incredibly thoughtful, powerful, open-hearted healer

Lou of Angelic Sounds Holistic is an incredibly thoughtful, powerful, open-hearted and many other things healer, teacher and guide. Many years of searching took me to the point where she could help guide and empower me in such deep ways beyond what I could have imagined. I owe her so much, and there is no one else who could have helped me as she has. If you truly want to get the help and do your own work, there is no better person to go to.

Instead of the usual lie-down and vibe away, my bestie wanted to try Reiki with a sound bath. Reiki Love Club & Sound Healing School immediately appeared to her (I mean, judging from the name alone…) because practitioner Michelle’s sessions are built around sound therapy and energy healing.

My pal reckons it will be a more immersive, full-body reset experience, which she was going for. The sessions start with intention-setting, grounding, and breathwork, then blend Reiki with an intuitive mix of modalities to suit what you need that day.

For her, the sound bath energy was the real draw. Group sessions use Crystal Tone Alchemy singing bowls infused with Reiki energy. Now, she points this place out to anyone who wants their healing with a bit more atmosphere and a lot less small talk.

It also helps that Michelle is listed with the CMA and positions the studio as a safe space for stress and anxiety. I’d recommend Reiki Love Club to anyone craving a softer, more nurturing style of healing, especially if standard Reiki sessions sound a bit too bare-bones for them.

The main catch is location. Clydebank is less convenient if you want a quick city-centre reset between errands.

Pros

  • Blends Reiki with singing bowl sound baths
  • Properly-held ritual-style format
  • CMA-listed practitioner
  • Doubles as a sound healing school

Cons

  • The Clydebank location is less central
  • Atmospheric and community-based group events may not appeal to solo sessionists

Customer Reviews

Michelle has created such a beautiful, warm, welcoming and safe space

I couldn’t recommend Reiki Love Club more. Michelle has created such a beautiful, warm, welcoming and safe space. I’ve been coming for a good few years and have had some profound experiences during sound baths. You always leave feeling lighter and more ready to face any challenges. I came to sound baths just before giving birth to my two sons, and the mantra cards I received were the mantras I used and repeated during labour. Both births were amazing, and I do think being so relaxed following a sound bath, combined with drinking some cacao Michelle gifted, really helped.

Felt relaxed and invigorated afterwards

Lovely ultimate reset session. Michelle is welcoming and warm, and has a great range of therapies to appeal to everyone. Felt relaxed and invigorated afterwards and would thoroughly recommend.

My baby brother had reached that point when his insomnia was turning him into a haunted Victorian child. He decided to try Transformational Holistics, whose practice explicitly mentions stress and sleep troubles as part of what they treat.

Thankfully, the main practitioner, Caroline, doesn’t frame Reiki as a one-note treatment. She tailors sessions using advanced Reiki techniques and crystal work, so it feels more personalised for someone whose nervous system has forgotten to switch off.

Past clients that my brother reviewed mention how Caroline explains the process thoroughly to them, and how each session includes time for questions and advice.

For someone like my bro, who was quick to dismiss Reiki as “woo-woo”, these were illuminating. The studio and practice are a good fit for stressed-out insomniacs, anxious overthinkers, and anyone wanting Reiki with a more tailored, crystal-supported approach.

The East Kilbride setup is better for people who want a calmer, more tucked-away space. But for those who want a more laid-back Reiki session, the crystal healing setup may feel a bit more holistic than what they’re looking for.

Pros

  • Explicitly targets stress-linked issues like anxiety and insomnia
  • Tailored sessions with Reiki and crystal techniques
  • Sessions include time for questions and advice
  • Offers a wider community element

Cons

  • Not ideal for those seeking plain, straight Reiki
  • Not centrally located

Customer Reviews

Caroline was so lovely and welcoming

Caroline was so lovely and welcoming, I felt nervous about starting my Reiki Level 1, but I left the training feeling much more confident and at ease. Can’t wait to attend further sessions and training in the future.

I left feeling more confident, connected, and ready to support others

Caroline is a gifted and intuitive Reiki Master who creates a calm, supportive space for growth and healing. Her guidance during my Reiki 2 training was thoughtful and empowering, with gentle wisdom and beautiful storytelling woven throughout. I left feeling more confident, connected, and ready to support others on their healing journeys. I’m deeply grateful for her presence and teaching.
