Mums-to-be appreciate the 5 best prenatal massage clinics in Glasgow

  • Prenatal expertise - We looked for therapists with advanced pre- and postnatal massage certifications who understand trimester-specific safety and contraindications.
  • Proper support setup - A good clinic should use side-lying techniques, quality pregnancy bolsters, or safe face-down cushions to keep both mum and baby comfortable.
  • Tailored pain relief - We prioritised places that can adjust treatments for real pregnancy issues like pelvic girdle pain, SPD, lower back tension, and swelling.
  • Safe, calming environment - We checked for pregnancy-safe oils such as organic and nut-free options, plus a tranquil, inclusive clinic atmosphere backed by strong positive client feedback.

When my sister was expecting, she started with yoga classes in Glasgow to ease some of the aches and pains. But the real game-changer for her was a proper prenatal massage when the back pain and swelling kicked in.

The best prenatal massage clinics in Glasgow know pregnancy isn’t the time for guesswork and requires a skilled pair of hands to keep the pain away. So for this review, I pulled together the spots that take safety, comfort, and relief seriously for mums-to-be.

How much does prenatal massage in Glasgow cost?

In Glasgow, a prenatal massage usually costs £45 to £55 for 45 minutes, £60 to £85 for 60 minutes, and £95 to £120 for 90 minutes.
Some clinics also offer 3 to 6 session packages for around £160 to £350, usually with a 10% to 15% discount, while postnatal sessions are often priced similarly.

My older sister was pregnant, sore, stressed, and fully past the point where a bath and a stretch were doing nothing for her. That’s why Relax – Massage became a lifesaver, because their pregnancy massage is properly customisable.

She found it pretty affordable, too. The 60-minute session costs £70, so it gave her enough time to actually settle in (and sneak more than a few zzz’s along the way).

The location offers free parking, which came in handy for her. There’s also convenient online booking and later opening hours, so she can properly make time for her massages.

They adjusted the massage to the position that feels best for her. She was glad that the attendants didn’t box every expecting mum into one setup, and avoided treating prenatal care just like another menu add-on.

My sister appreciated the 10% discount for rebooks, and the use of premium essential oils that made her visits feel pampering as well as therapeutic.

She now recommends Relax – Massage to other expecting mothers who want a calm, no-fuss massage focusing on comfort and pain relief.

That said, it’s more of a practical, comfort-led service than a luxe spa maternity treatment, so it might be better to look elsewhere if you want a longer or more clinical-style prenatal package.

Pros

  • Customisable pregnancy massage (30, 45, and 60-minute options)
  • Adjusts to the most comfortable massage position
  • Free parking
  • £10 off on rebooked 40-minute plus sessions

Cons

  • Prenatal massage tops out at 60 minutes
  • More practical and comfort-led than luxurious

Relax provides a comforting welcome and excellent massage service

Massages are easy to book and are very reasonably priced. Relax provides a comforting welcome and excellent massage service. Over the past few months, Scott has helped me with my pain, resulting in a better night’s sleep!

Always very professional, and they always give advice

I had my massage by Debbie today, and I feel she understood my needs and gave me a lot of care. I always come here now for my massages as it is always very professional and they always give advice after my treatment on how to look after my back.

I got a baby shower invite for my pregnant next-door neighbour, and I was panicking about appropriate gifts to give. Luckily, Serenity Massage Therapy sells gift vouchers valid for 12 months, which is a lovely pick for a mum-to-be drowning in onesies and baby diapers.

I chose it because it doesn’t do a generic massage treatment. Leanne uses a Well Mother approach, tailoring the massage to each stage of pregnancy, and including supportive extras like cushions, pillows, blankets, gentle stretches, and postural work.

It sounds especially good for mums dealing with backache, hip pain, swollen legs, general tension, and for anyone who wants a more thoughtful, body-aware treatment over a basic spa rub.

I also like that the clinic is in Giffnock, which is close enough to where we live (pretty convenient for Southside mums). There’s also free parking outside!

The downside is that the pregnancy sessions are pretty strong on comfort and technique, but a bit lighter on the finer practical details some mums may want upfront. The address may also be less convenient for those hoping for a more central location.

Pros

  • Uses the Well Mother approach
  • Sessions are tailored with supportive poses and tools
  • Free parking
  • Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months

Cons

  • Less convenient for city-centre clients
  • No first-time offers or package discounts

Leanne perfectly tailors your massage to suit exactly what your body needs

After visiting Leanne, my body always feels amazing, and my mind is so relaxed. From sports massages after finishing a long job, to pregnancy massage, Leanne perfectly tailors your massage to suit exactly what your body needs. Would definitely recommend.

The massage was perfect

Highly recommend Serenity Massage Therapy. The room was calm and relaxing, and Leanne was very professional throughout. The massage was perfect, combining both relaxation and focus on certain problematic areas around my shoulders with skill. I felt confident that Leanne knew exactly what she was doing. I will definitely return and would recommend it every time. Thanks.

I have a fussy pregnant teammate who didn’t want mystery oils anywhere near her body. That’s why Elizabeth Bandeen felt like the more thoughtful option for her, since she uses her own handmade body butter on her clients.

During pregnancy treatments, this seemingly small detail gives it a more personal touch than clinics that just reach for the usual bottle on the shelf. Elizabeth also doesn’t do general relaxation massages and calls them maternity care.

She actually has a diploma in Pregnancy Massage and treats clients individually. Client feedback typically mentions having better sleep, tailored pressure, and even receiving useful advice on sleeping positions when they go to her.

She’s easy to recommend because she works from West George Street in the city centre, and also has a Southside/Mosspark option. My teammate likes that the city centre base is right by Queen Street Station, as she can easily commute after practice.

For mums-to-be seeking a more personal, therapist-led prenatal massage instead of a big chain spa setup, she’s worth a try. Pricing is also refreshingly clear at £60 for 60 minutes, plus she sells digital vouchers.

Do note that Elizabeth’s service is more of a skilled solo therapist experience than a plush maternity spa, so it may not suit someone wanting deluxe extras or lots of prenatal equipment details upfront.

Pros

  • Uses personal, hand-made body butter
  • Pregnant-specific massage treatments
  • Refreshingly clear pricing
  • Two convenient locations

Cons

  • Solo-skilled therapist setup rather than a deluxe maternity spa
  • No advertised promos or package discounts

She was very welcoming and friendly

Had a lovely pregnancy massage today – my first time with Elizabeth. She was very welcoming and friendly. Felt completely chilled out afterwards, just what I needed! I will definitely be booking again.

She really listens to where you specify the aches/pains are

I have had 3 late-pregnancy massages (at 32, 36, and 39 weeks) with Elizabeth, and what a difference it has made. Not only does Elizabeth make you feel relaxed, but she really listens to where you specify the aches/pains are, and she really homes in on them. I can’t recommend enough for pregnant women – thank you, Elizabeth!

My cousin was pregnant with twins and seemed to have developed sciatica because of it. She needed help beyond turning over in bed without looking and feeling like a beached whale, and found Glasgow Holistic Massage to be a lifesaver.

Her therapist, Anny, builds each session around what’s actually going on in her body, so she wasn’t handed the same sleepy script as every other mum at the clinic. My cousin said she listens well and adjusts the treatment to her specific pain points.

Plenty of her past pregnancy clients mention how the prenatal massage experience was both relaxing and knowledgeable, which is exactly what my cousin wants for a twin pregnancy with sciatica in the mix.

The clinic is in the West End, tucked just off Sauchiehall Street, so it feels central without being too hectic. The pricing is pretty attractive, too: pregnancy massage starts at just £40, with sessions running from 30 minutes up to 90 minutes.

For pregnant ladies who want a bespoke, therapist-led treatment for real aches, tension, or swelling, Anny’s prenatal massage is a shoo-in. My cousin calls it her “personal holistic treatment room” when she’s feeling particularly achy.

It’s not a dedicated maternity clinic, though, so mums wanting lots of prenatal kits or a more overtly specialist setup may prefer somewhere more niche.

Pros

  • Strong fit for pregnancy aches
  • Tailored, not templated, service
  • Calm and serene location

Cons

  • More of a holistic solo practice, not a dedicated prenatal clinic
  • No advertised maternity packages/promos

It was such a relaxing experience in late pregnancy

I had a wonderful pregnancy massage with Anny. She was really knowledgeable, and it was such a relaxing experience in late pregnancy. Good communication in terms of my appointment, and very accommodating. I would definitely return and recommend.

I always leave feeling like she has fixed me in some way!

Anny is amazing, she has so much knowledge and really listens to what your needs are and cares about your experience. I have been to Anny with pain from injury and for injury prevention in my cycling training. I have also been for a pregnancy massage. Each visit, she is attentive to how your needs may have changed, and I always leave feeling like she has fixed me in some way! Highly recommend.

I have a university friend who has a C-section scar and a sore back from feeding. She’s not at all interested in new-mum pampering (she had loads of prenatal massages), but wants to address the first two issues accordingly.

Wishing Wellness Massage Therapy offers postnatal massage and a dedicated C-section scar massage, so she was ecstatic about that. She said the care sounded and felt genuinely thought-through.

The therapist, Emma, uses the RESTORE method for scar work. She can blend the scar treatment into a wider postnatal recovery and give aftercare advice, gentle stretching, and postnatal exercises to her clients.

She works from a tranquil home clinic in Thornliebank, with 60-minute treatments at £55, 90 minutes at £80 (on request), and a 3-for-£150 postnatal package that saves a bit of money should recovery need more than one visit.

She now recommends this clinic to mums who want practical postnatal help, especially for scar tightness, abdominal discomfort, or the usual neck-and-shoulder misery from holding a baby all day.

That said, the business hours are a bit non-standard, with only one Saturday open per month. It may take some planning if you need evening or weekend flexibility.

Pros

  • Offers a dedicated C-section scar massage
  • Uses the RESTORE method to work beyond the scar
  • Useful postnatal package
  • Includes after-care advice and self-massage guidance

Cons

  • Unusual business hours
  • Less central than a city-based option

I felt blissfully relaxed throughout

I had a pregnancy massage with Emma at 38 weeks. Everything was brilliant, Emma is so lovely, and such a skilled massage therapist. I felt blissfully relaxed throughout and had an amazing sleep when I got home! It really helped my aches and pains. I highly recommend.

I woke up completely pain-free

I’m 24 weeks pregnant, and I went to see Emma for intense lower back pain. After just one massage, I woke up completely pain-free. It was such a relaxing experience from beginning to end—thank you so much, Emma!
