5 Best Furniture Delivery Services in Glasgow for Stress-Free Moves
I love looking at interior designer portfolios and getting creative home improvement ideas. However, I immediately remember that I still need a trustworthy furniture delivery service to get the lot home in one piece.
I realised that the best ones do more than just show up with a van and handlers. These days, I want a team that can handle same-day IKEA runs, Facebook Marketplace finds, and the awkward designer pieces that never look heavy until they reach my stairwell.
This review is for any Glaswegian who moves furniture around like a habit and wants the practical side sorted without the drama, scratches, dents, and oopsies.
How much does furniture delivery cost in Glasgow?
Furniture delivery in Glasgow typically costs £25 to £35 per hour for a small van with 1 driver, which suits a single chair with a few small boxes.
A standard man and van with lifting help will cost £40 to £60 per hour, while a proper two-man delivery crew for heavier items like wardrobes or IKEA beds is usually £65 to £90 per hour.
For simpler store runs, an IKEA collection fee often sits at £30 to £50 flat, mainly for basic store-to-door transport. White glove delivery with assembly usually starts at £85 to over £120, which covers setup and often packaging removal, too.
Most Glasgow man-and-van services do expect to help with the lifting, but you should always mention if your delivery is going above ground level. Many providers now add a stair surcharge of around £10 to £20 for buildings without lifts, especially on the 3rd or 4th floors.

When our art gallery office outgrew its old space, we knew we needed more than a man-with-a-van (given our stashed art installation pieces of outsized proportions).
We wanted experienced movers in Glasgow who can accomplish more than haul stuff around. Moving Home Made Easy handled the commercial move like people who know furniture, timing, and Glasgow chaos properly.
Their range of services is impressive: removals, packing, secure storage, and dismantling with reassembly, which saved the staff from wrestling desks and pedestals ourselves.
My bosses liked that they are based in Glasgow’s South Side, and are members of the British Association of Removers, which gave them peace of mind that they’re dealing with pros. Under their eyes, the crew did careful handling, stayed helpful under pressure, and kept constant communication throughout the move.
For me, they’re best for bigger office or home moves where you want proper lifting, careful packing, and less room for mistakes. They make the most sense for valuable furniture, bulky pieces, or awkward commercial moves where polished handling matters more than chasing the absolute cheapest quote.
The downside is that they aren’t really the scrappy bargain option for a tiny Facebook Marketplace pickup, or a one-chair dash across town. And if your building has brutal stairs, tight access, or you only need a very short booking, the final cost can add up something fierce.

Took time to ensure our belongings were safe in their hands
We used Moving Home Made Easy after reviewing several removal companies in our area. We have to say James & Jamie were absolutely brilliant! They arrived on time, they were well mannered, hard working and very careful both in our home and with our belongings. They packaged everything really well and took time to ensure our belongings were safe in their hands. If I ever had to move home in the future, I wouldn’t hesitate to use Moving Home Made Easy again. Keep up the good work, boy, you’re doing a great job.

The staff on the day were punctual
Absolutely excellent service from start to finish, and follow-up! All staff we interacted with during enquiries, price comparisons, box delivery ahead of the move and on the day were professional and helpful. The staff on the day were punctual, kept us updated, professional on site and looked after all our belongings well. Thank you very much, Moving Home Made Easy. We will be recommending you to our friends.

2. Green Move Removals

Address: 14 Westmoreland St

Business hours:
Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5.30 PM
Saturday, 9 AM–1 PM
I used Green Move Removals for my last move because timing, key handovers, and solicitor faff all had to line up properly. I quite liked that they could quote from an inventory list, a video survey, or an in-person visit (I’m a gal who likes options!).
They were flexible with the service once the plan was in motion, too. They handle home moves, business moves, packing, storage, and furniture dismantling or reassembly—a great offer for someone like me who makes a life out of being nomadic.
It’s not really an IKEA sprint or Facebook Marketplace dash, mind. It’s meant for a fuller furniture move, as the service is organised and properly insured for such.
But their big, unique hook is the greener angle. They position themselves as eco-friendly and claim to be the first UK moving company to put an electric van into their fleet. They also support tree planting through each move!
I would recommend them for planned home or office moves with valuable furniture, awkward logistics, and people who want a tailored quote rather than a mystery number pulled from thin air. They care about careful handling and have insurance to back their work.
That said, it does feel more like a full removals firm than a same-day bargain courier. They also advise booking 4 to 8 weeks ahead in busy periods like the holidays and summertime, which is less handy for those needing last-minute moves.

We have never had a more efficient, carefully executed move
Right from the first Contact Jackson was brilliant. He went through the whole process with me, ensuring everything was covered for moving day and that I felt comfortable with their service. We moved on a Saturday, which normally comes at a premium ( we’ve moved lots in our lifetime!), but not with Green Move, which was just another part of their incredible service. The guys turned up on the Saturday, with massive smiles and didn’t stop from the minute they arrived until the minute they left! We have never had a more efficient, carefully executed move. Nothing was damaged in the move, and everything was treated with genuine care, which is definitely a first for us. The guys on the day couldn’t have been better. I have to mention on pricing that they were the most competitive & reasonably priced out of all the quotes we received. I would highly recommend Green Movers to everyone & we will definitely use them again in the future.

They were incredibly flexible and understanding throughout
We had a really stressful house move, but the team at Green Move Removals made the whole experience so much easier. We had delays and date changes due to issues in our chain, and they were incredibly flexible and understanding throughout. On moving day, the guys were friendly, helpful, and worked with great care and professionalism, and everything was handled to a high standard. What could have been a nightmare ended up feeling smooth and manageable thanks to them. Would absolutely recommend.

3. DS Carriers Removals Glasgow

Address: Clyde Offices, 48 W George St
Contact: +441412802643
Business hours: Open 24 hours
My senior aunt needed a team that could do more than grunt at her heavily carved wardrobe, and DS Carriers Removals were refreshingly unfazed at the task. Their trained crew can dismantle beds, cots, dining tables, and even sofas, which saved us a lot of family backache and cussing.
They weren’t just a one-trick furniture drop-off outfit, either. They also offer home removals, packing, business moves, and storage. The written quote helped my aunt, since it felt clearer and more reassuring than past vague van-man maths.
They have over 35 years of experience and partnerships with brands like Harvey’s Furniture and Bensons for Beds, which gave the service a steadier, more established feel. For a senior move with bulky pieces, that kind of experience matters more than a flashy app.
They make better sense for bigger home moves and tricky family locations than for last-minute furniture pickup. They do have a properly organised team, so it’s best to make the most of them for more serious hauls.
Do note that they work on quote-led pricing rather than transparent hourly rates, so comparisons with other furniture delivery services may be less tidy.

They were brilliant
The guys (Donald & Gary, I believe they were called) delivered the modular sofa that I ordered via Furniture Village. They were brilliant, took care when bringing it into the house, unwrapped the sofa and showed me it was put together. Couldn’t fault their service.

We’re very happy with the service provided
We used DS Carriers for my mum’s house move last week, and were very happy with the service provided. Donald, Gary and John put my mum at ease as soon as they arrived, reassuring her during a very stressful time. They worked quickly, handled everything with care, and made sure furniture was wrapped and protected. The guys set up my mum’s furniture perfectly in her new home, giving her one less thing to worry about! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone moving house.

4. Scot Removals Home and Flat Movers

Address: 4 Auldbar Rd, Bellahouston

Business hours: Daily, 8 AM–8 PM
I have a college pal who’s a classical pianist, so his move was never going to be a chuck-in-the-sofa-and-hope situation. Good thing Scot Removals Home and Flat Movers have a dedicated piano removals team, which made him breathe easy.
He liked that they don’t just stop at pianos (though that’s a great, unique headliner) because they also handle regular furniture delivery. They’re also practical with online quotes and booking, fully insured moves, and same-day help, which mattered, as he was in the middle of preparing for a concert.
Now my Schroeder-friend can’t stop raving about them to fellow musicians with delicate pianos, antiques, instruments, and bigger furniture jobs where skill matters more than shaving a few quid off the bill.
I do understand their appeal to those with valuable furniture and items needing to be handled by safe hands. But because they cover everything from piano moves to full house removals, they may be a bit more service-heavy (and could inflate a very tight budget).
For someone like me who favours thrifted furniture and needs more of a budget marketplace lamp run, they’re a bit intimidating.

5. Glasgow Removals Limited

Address: 192 Swanston St

Business hours:
Monday to Friday, 8 AM–6.30 PM
Saturday, 9 AM–3 PM
Sunday, 10 AM–4 PM
My neighbour was already stressed out about her impending move, so handing the furniture packing to Glasgow Removals Limited felt like a sane and logical decision. They offer full packing, fragile-item packing, and all the boxes, wardrobe cartons, bubble wrap, tape, and paper she could need to make things less chaotic.
She liked the wider setup that made them feel more like a proper two-man-plus removals team, rather than a random van with a postcode. They also handle house removals, office removals, piano removals, and storage, with storage containers able to unload directly at the customer’s home/business.
As for old-school credentials, theirs is pretty reassuring. They’re one of the longest-running removal companies in Glasgow, and are members of the British Association of Removers.
They’re especially handy for a polished, stress-reducing furniture delivery/packing, but not so much on last-minute IKEA runs if that’s what you’re looking for. Moreover, they don’t do transparent hourly rates, so quotes are in order.

Had a couple of quotes for my removal. I decided to go with Glasgow removals due to the detailed survey and the good price bracket. Well, this company I have known has no worries or complaints. The move was swift, painless and without damage to a single item
Absolutely phenomenal service from start to finish. A friendly visit for our quote put us right at ease from the get-go, and the team doing our removal were professional, friendly and extremely respectful of our belongings. The move was swift, painless and without damage to a single item or either house. Glasgow Removals came recommended to us by a friend, and we’ll be doing the same for any of our friends who are moving going forward.
