I hired Mitchell Roofing Services to sort out my roof problem. One reason why I picked them was their free roof inspection, as it helped me figure out how bad the damage was without paying upfront.
It’s also nice that they have 40 years of experience.
The actual repairs went smoothly. They fixed the leak, swapped out a few tiles, and cleared the gutters.
I asked about the chimney since it looked worn, and they said they could patch it up if needed. I held off on that for now, but it’s good to know they can do it.
The quote wasn’t the cheapest, but they didn’t pad the bill and kept me in the loop.
My only gripe is the lack of long-term warranties. They do offer a satisfaction guarantee, which means they won’t call the job done until you’re happy, but a multi-year guarantee would be better.

Just a heads up: they don’t work on tenement buildings, so that rules them out for some folks in Glasgow. They’re also closed on Sundays, so weekend-only availability might be a bit tricky.

If you’re looking for more seasoned roofing contractors, Sterling Roofing Services is a decent option. They’ve been in the game for over 20 years and offer a range of services like roof installs, repairs, and chimney repairs.
Their flat roof installations are especially worth noting. These suit larger buildings like commercial spaces, and they use a three-layer system with two thick underlays that help them hold up well in our wet climate. It’s a more budget-friendly choice, too, which is a bonus.
I also like that they offer de-mossing, which is handy given how quickly moss builds up around here. They can even coat your roof with a non-toxic solution to help stop moss from coming back and clogging up your gutters and drains.
That said, it’s disappointing to hear that they sometimes miss appointments and occasionally don’t reply to enquiries.
