The Best Interior Designers in Glasgow for a Home Glow-Up!

Experience and expertise - We chose interior designers with at least three years of experience and who are skilled in a range of specialisations, including residential and commercial interiors.

Service quality - We evaluated whether they can consistently provide high-quality services based on their portfolios and the opinions we’ve gathered from their clients.

Technology and visualisation - We also prefer interior designers who use 3D renderings or virtual walkthroughs to help clients visualise the final design before committing.

Professionalism - We assessed whether they always treat their clients with respect and honesty. We also checked whether they respond quickly to enquiries or concerns.

Price fairness - We also considered whether their prices are fair given their experience, expertise, service quality, availability, customisation options, and additional services offered.

Every time I walked into my flat, it was the same story. Cramped corners, clutter creeping in, and the usual sigh of defeat. No matter how many new bits and bobs I bought, nothing seemed to fix the problem. Turns out, shoving a trendy lamp into an already chaotic space doesn’t magically make it stylish.

I finally admitted defeat and called in an interior designer. Best decision I’ve made in ages! My flat went from looking like a glorified storage unit to an actual home, one I could relax in without tripping over my own bad decisions.

For those whose homes could also use a serious glow-up, I’ve done the legwork. Here’s a list of the best interior designers in Glasgow to help you sort it out.

How much do interior designers in Glasgow charge for their services?

Most interior designers in Glasgow charge £125 per hour for their services. Of course, this price can vary depending on the designer, the scope of the project, and the level of customisation you need.

When it comes to experience, Bespoke Design & Interiors is definitely up there. They’ve been around since 1999 and are primarily focused on improving interior spaces for houses and offices in Glasgow.

They cover nearly every aspect of interiors, from custom blinds and curtains to upholstery, furniture, wallpaper, and lighting. Plus, you won’t always have to break the bank since they offer tiered packages to suit different budgets.

Their top-tier Gold package includes everything they offer, including personalised shopping lists, design boards, and a 3D visual walkthrough of your space.

Another cool thing is their free measuring service, making sure you only buy what you need. It’s also nice that they offer free initial consultations so you can figure out if they’re the right fit before committing.

That said, it’s annoying that most of their best services, especially 3D visuals, are locked behind the Gold package.

Pros

  • More than 20 years of experience
  • Offers tiered packages
  • Can do 3D visual walkthroughs
  • Offers free measuring
  • Offers free initial consultations

Cons

  • 3D visuals locked behind top-tier package
  • Unavailable on weekends and Mondays

We were just delighted with the results and the amazing transformation

“I cannot recommend Bespoke interiors enough. Both Shona and Danielle have a great eye and have been extremely helpful when we decided to revamp our sitting room. We were just delighted with the results and the amazing transformation. We are now about to tackle a bedroom and my first call was to Shona who by now knows my taste very well and looked out for some fabric which I have fallen in love with . I truly can’t wait to see another “Bespoke” transformation.”

Provided excellent service to the highest quality

“Shona provided excellent service to the highest quality. She made curtains for every room in my house, each pair of curtains different, for large Victorian windows and I’m extremely happy with the results. I would highly recommend her.”

If you’re looking to go beyond surface-level interior design, Interior Space Design is worth considering. They’ve been around Glasgow for over 20 years and have picked up several awards along the way, including the 2024 Best Interior Designer from the Quality Business Awards.

What I like about them is their ability to handle full-on garage and loft conversions, turning those forgotten spaces into something actually useful—home offices, extra bedrooms, or whatever suits your needs.

If your place feels a bit cramped, they also do home extensions that blend seamlessly with your existing setup instead of sticking out awkwardly.

Another good thing is their 3D design package, which takes the guesswork out of the process.

Now for the reality check: this isn’t the cheapest option. They also focus mainly on residential projects, so if you’re a business owner, you might need to look elsewhere.

Pros

  • 20 years of experience
  • Winner of Quality Business Awards’ Best Interior Designer 2024
  • Can do garage and loft conversions
  • Can do home extensions
  • Offers 3D design packages

Cons

  • Above-average prices
  • Focuses mainly on residential projects

Whole team have been brilliant from start to finish

“Linsey, Ross and the whole team have been brilliant from start to finish. They have come up with smart solutions to every problem that has come up and we are in love with the new kitchen they have created for us. All work has been completed to an impeccable standard. Couldn’t recommend them enough. Their dedication, attention to detail and hard work including working into the evening and some weekends. Can’t wait to get them back for our next project.”

– Joanna Murray, Google Reviews

Always been delighted with the outcome

“I have used the company for three projects, a major recladding, a window replacement and the latest, a two-door plus window replacements with recladding. Always been delighted with the outcome. Linsey was very helpful getting the details right as well as being aware of the client costs. Ross and his assistant produced a carefully finished product. Our neighbours were very positive about the new look.”

Let me tell you about the company that revamped my flat, Anne Interiors. Founded by Anne Elliott, an interior designer with 20 years of experience, they bring a unique blend of Parisian elegance, Scandinavian cosiness, and wabi-sabi charm to their designs.

Since I had zero experience with interior design, I opted for their full-service interior design. Their team handled everything, including sourcing furniture, coordinating contractors, and ironing out any issues.

If full-service isn’t your thing, Anne also offers 3D interior designs, perfect for DIY renovations. And for those outside Glasgow, her e-design consultations provide expert guidance remotely, with no in-person meetings needed.

Sadly, one issue I had was their availability. It took me a while to book a consultation due to the high demand for their services.

Pros

  • 20 years of experience
  • Unique design approach
  • Offers full-service interior design
  • Has 3D interior design
  • Offers e-design consultations

Cons

  • Tends to get fully booked quickly
  • Inconsistent operating hours

She really listened to us and was a delight to work with

“We were delighted with the work Anne carried out for us and would thoroughly recommend. Anne took the time to really consider our budget and preferences. Anne came up with ideas that were functional for our family, within our budget and with our style in mind. The document shared very helpfully captured our conversation and included easy links to the items discussed. She really listened to us and was a delight to work with. Before meeting Anne we weren’t sure what to do to redesign our home… we now feel motivated and excited about the project!”

Anne is exactly what we needed for our project

“Anne is exactly what we needed for our project. She is extremely easy to work with, being adaptable and responsive at all times. She really listens to your concerns and provides multiple suggestions. She is very quick too, finishing all of her proposals exactly when she promised she would. She has a great eye for detail and really wants your project to feel like your dream home. I love her enthusiasm and professionals, I will definitely recommend to my friends and reach out to her again for future projects!”

If you’re looking to spruce up your space with a bit of personality and a focus on sustainability, Little Casa Interiors is a solid option.

One of the best things about them is their bespoke furniture. Instead of trying to make store-bought pieces fit your space, they’ll design something that actually suits it.

And what’s nice is that they’re big on eco-friendly materials and repurposing old furniture where possible, making them a decent pick if you’re trying to be more mindful about waste.

I also appreciate that they offer 3D spatial planning, which is brilliant if you struggle to picture how things will look before committing.

That said, there are some things to keep in mind. Since they’re a smaller outfit, you might need to book ahead, and if you’re on a tight budget, their custom designs can lean towards the pricier side.

Pros

  • 10 years of experience
  • Can create bespoke furniture
  • Eco-conscious interior styling
  • Offers 3D spatial planning

Cons

  • Slightly above-average prices
  • Tends to get fully booked quickly

An amazing experience all around

“One word – AMAZING! Elaine from Little Casa helped me redesign my old spare bedroom into a beautiful new office for my home business. The design had to match my existing brand and I especially needed help with the lighting, as I’m often on Zoom calls or recording videos for my clients. I’m also renting so was a bit limited in what I could change, but Elaine took all of my needs into consideration and created a design that I just absolutely LOVE! And she was so professional from start to finish. She created multiple mockups of the room so that I could visualize what each change might look like and I was able to approve or disapprove options as we went along. Even my husband — who was skeptical that we needed a designer (he thought we could just do it all ourselves) — he was SO IMPRESSED and he’s now telling all his friends that they should consider an interior designer! Just an amazing experience all around and I would definitely recommend Little Casa Interiors. Thank you Elaine!”

I think we’ve truly found Scotland’s hidden gem

“The word, “Exceptional” is perhaps overused. But after our consultation and plan with Elaine, we are struggling to find anything that would be a better fit. Professional, courteous, informed and simply a master in her craft. We will not be going anywhere else for all our designing and decorating needs. I think we’ve truly found Scotland’s hidden gem. Plz feel free to hire her without hesitation. She has our full confidence and respect. Thank you, Elaine!”

Elder Interiors is a relatively new interior design company, but they’ve already built a solid range of services. They’re big on flexibility, making them a good pick for both DIY-ers and those who want the full service.

One of their handier features is their 3D designs and service drawings, which let you see the plan before committing. They also offer a satisfaction guarantee, so you can request modifications until you’re happy with the final design.

But if you already have a personal design mapped out, they can simply supply the materials and furniture, or handle installation so you don’t need to hire your own tradesperson.

That said, they’re still fairly new, and their focus is mainly on kitchens and bathrooms. You’ll probably want to consider other options first if your project falls outside of that.

Pros

  • Offers 3D designs and service drawings
  • Satisfaction guarantee with free design modifications
  • Can supply materials and furniture
  • Offers installation services

Cons

  • Relatively new in the industry
  • Primarily focused on kitchens and bathrooms

Finding Elder Interiors was the answer to my prayers!

“After talking to other local designers who said what I wanted couldn’t be done, finding Elder Interiors was the answer to my prayers! David really listened to my ideas & produced a design beyond anything I could have imagined, totally transforming an awkward tenement bathroom into a luxurious haven. The install team did a terrific job in a tricky location, and the standard of the finish is just wonderful. I have no hesitation recommending Elder Interiors”

– Vivien Morley-Pugh, Google Reviews

The bathroom feels so high-end and high quality now

“My husband and I really enjoyed working with David. He turned our bathroom into something we would’ve never thought of. The bathroom feels so high-end and high quality now.”
