We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

I now look forward to laundry day at the best laundromats in Glasgow!

Accessibility - We prefer laundromats that are near major roads and public transit stations. We also picked those that are open on most days of the week.

Cleanliness and maintenance - We assessed whether these laundromats maintain spotless floors, clean machines, and organised seating to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

Machine quality - We evaluated whether they use modern washing machines that allow for more efficient cleaning and drying of laundry. We also checked if they provide enough washers and dryers in various sizes to cater to different needs.

Additional services - We looked at whether these laundromats offer extra services like wash-and-fold services, ironing, or even dry cleaning.

Price fairness - We also considered whether their prices are fair given their accessibility, cleanliness, and machine quality. We also looked for any special discounts offered for larger loads or off-peak hours.

Every week, I’m surprised at how fast the laundry pile grows—like, how did I go through this many clothes? Between work clothes, gym gear, and those trusty hoodies I throw on for lazy days, it feels like I’m doing laundry for a small army.

Unfortunately, I don’t have the right setup at home to handle it. But that’s where laundromats come to the rescue. They’ve been a total lifesaver!

Having relied on laundromats so much myself, I figured it was time to share the love. I’ve rounded up the best laundromats in Glasgow to help anyone else who’s in the same boat.

How much does it cost to get your laundry cleaned in Glasgow?

The cost of getting your laundry done at a laundromat in Glasgow can vary depending on the services you choose. For self-service washing machines, you’ll usually have to pay £5 per load. If you opt for a service wash, you’ll probably need to pay £13 for a standard load.

Majestic Laundrette on Argyle Street has been a staple of Glasgow’s West End since 1963, and it’s exactly the kind of no-nonsense place you’d expect. You can pop in to use the coin-operated machines or hand your laundry over for a service wash.

One thing I’ll say is that their jumbo machines definitely deserve a shout. If you’ve got big items like duvets or a mountain of towels, these machines can handle it with ease.

Additionally, their free pick-up and delivery service for orders over £30 is a solid perk, especially if you’ve got loads of laundry to deal with.

That said, it’s not all smooth sailing. The place can get pretty busy, so there’s a good chance you’ll end up waiting for a machine.

Pros

  • Offers dry cleaning
  • Offers service wash
  • Has jumbo washing machines
  • Free pick-up and delivery for orders over £30

Cons

  • Long wait times
  • Some rude staff

Well worth the price

“Small laundry with very friendly staff. Washing machine takes about 20 minutes, the dryer about 30 minutes. Not the cheapest, but well worth the price. We were happy to have clean and nice smelling clothes after less than an hour.”

Fantastic service from this place

“This place was amazing. Due to traveling we missed the service that the hotel offers, but when asked who they used they called the place for us and asked if they could do our laundry and send it back along with the other laundry orders they dropped off earlier in the morning. They said sure, no problem and we were able to drop it off and not worry about picking it up later that day. They delivered it back to our hotel, so we were able to enjoy our city plans. Fantastic service from this place. Highly recommended them, and they were super affordable.”

SpeedQueen Laundrette has been my go-to for laundry, and while they’re not perfect, they get the job done. The machines are quite modern, as they have this fancy Ozone tech that drastically improves their cleaning power, allowing them to wash clothes in under an hour.

What’s also impressive is that they have a dedicated pet zone. As someone who owns a cat, I like having a separate machine where I can clean her stuff without any worries.

Paying here is pretty convenient since you can use their app (available on both the App Store and Play Store) instead of hunting for change. The app also lets you know if machines are available or when your laundry is done, which is surprisingly useful.

That said, I do wish they offered service wash since there are times when I’m too tired to do the laundry all by myself.

Pros

  • Open 24/7
  • 5 locations in Glasgow
  • Modern machines that use Ozone tech
  • Has dedicated machines for pet stuff
  • Has a mobile app
  • Has a rewards program

Cons

  • Strictly self-serve laundry only
  • Slightly above-average prices

A very straightforward laundry experience

“A very straightforward laundry experience. It wasn’t too busy on the day we visited, but there was a steady stream of people coming in and out. Lots of machines and quite simple to operate. Washing machines include detergent as part of the fee. This is a card only establishment, operating from a central console for all of the machines. The store space was spotless, chairs comfortable, and sufficient table space. All in all, it was a painless experience for someone traveling through the city for a few days.”

Nicest laundromat I’ve ever been to!

“Neat and clean laundromat. Pay by card or Apple pay. Plenty of street parking.

All washers and dryers are working.

Nicest laundromat I’ve ever been to!”

Tumbl Laundry Lounge is a practical spot for sorting out your laundry without the usual fuss. The machines they have are proper workhorses—industrial-grade JLA washers that can get the job done quickly and effectively.

You don’t even need to bring your own detergent and fabric softener since they’ve sorted all that for you. Their machines are dosed with pH-neutral detergent that can be used on wool and silk. They also automatically introduce hypoallergenic fabric softener during the final rinse cycle to keep your clothes in good condition.

Another thing I like about Tumbl is their “Drop & Go” service. You can drop your laundry off, and they’ll take care of everything for you. They can even finish your laundry within the same day if you’re strapped for time.

Sadly, their services come with a premium price tag. I suggest checking other options first if your budget is tight.

Pros

  • Uses industrial-grade JLA washing machines
  • Detergent and fabric softener automatically included
  • Offers drop-off and collection services
  • Can do same-day service wash

Cons

  • Above-average prices
  • Location a bit far from Glasgow’s northern neighbourhoods

Strongly recommend using these services

“Spotlessly clean, great varied sized machines and most pleasant and helpful lady. Strongly recommend using these services.”

Definitely going to use them more

“So easy and fantastic value. First time using a laundrette this morning, £14 and 1 hour later all my washing for the week is clean and dry. Stopped in at costa for breakfast while it was drying. Definitely going to use them more.”

Park Road Laundrette has been around for nearly 60 years and is a decent spot for getting your laundry sorted in the West End. They’ve got the basics, like self-service machines, and if you don’t fancy doing it yourself, they offer service washes and dry cleaning.

If you dread ironing, their service could save you a headache, with prices starting at £0.80 for small items. Plus, you can opt for their pick-up and drop-off service if you have a busy schedule.

They’ve also rolled out a mobile app, available on both the App Store and Play Store. It’s quite handy since it lets you book their services and even pay online.

However, there’s room for improvement. Some customers have reported rude staff behaviour, which is extremely disappointing.

Pros

  • Offers service wash
  • Offers laundry pick-up and delivery
  • Has ironing services
  • Has a mobile app

Cons

  • Some rude staff
  • Inconsistent operating hours

Highly recommended for service and price

“My local closed so this was my 1st experience. Took booking online. Easy payment system. Emailed to confirm the order ready for collection which was convenient. Friendly team members. My wash n dry job was done perfectly. They wrapped it up neatly into a separate bag too. Highly recommended for service and price. Many thanks.”

Quick turnaround and a fair price

“A perfect find when I needed some laundry done on an extended trip! Dropped off at 10:10, and was notified via email it was ready four hours later. Quick turnaround and a fair price, and FAR easier than trying to do it myself. Can’t praise and thank them enough! Seemed like a nice neighborhood as well. Also, a very short walk from the Kelvinbridge subway station, so quick and easy access as well.”

Another good spot to have your dirty laundry cleaned is Broomhill Launderette & Dry Cleaners. They have a decent lineup of self-serve washing machines, but they also offer a service wash for anyone short on time.

What really sets them apart is how versatile they are with fabrics. They can tackle everyday clothing as well as trickier materials like silk, lace, and leather. They even clean and preserve wedding dresses, which isn’t something you usually see at your average laundromat.

It’s also nice that they offer free pickup and delivery service, so getting your laundry done here can be surprisingly easy.

On the flip side, some people have mentioned that the final price doesn’t always match the initial quote, which can be a bit frustrating. And if you’re coming from Glasgow’s eastern side, getting to their location might not be the most convenient.

Pros

  • Can wash sensitive fabrics
  • Can clean and preserve wedding dresses
  • Offers free pickup and delivery
  • Has ironing services

Cons

  • Final price sometimes doesn’t match initial quote provided
  • Location a bit far from Glasgow’s eastern neighbourhoods

Such a relief to find this laundry service

“Such a relief to find this laundry service. A big bag of clothes washed and dried in under an hour on a Sunday for £15. Angela runs a really great service here. Highly recommend.”

– Algis Kuliukas, Google Reviews

I’ve always had a great experience here!

“I’ve always had a great experience here! Just got back a jacket with wooden toggles that required extra attention to individually wrap each toggle to protect them prior to dry-cleaning and they did a great job with it for a great price. Last winter they also revived my winter overcoat that’d been splattered with wet mud. They’re efficient and effective. Would definitely recommend!”
