Say Bye to Shaving with the 5 Best Laser Hair Removal Centres in Glasgow

Proper safety standards - Is the clinic Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) registered? That’s a strong sign they’re operating to proper medical and safety standards.

The right laser for the skin tone - We looked for clinics using medical-grade lasers, not just IPL. For darker skin tones, Nd:YAG availability should be preferred to reduce the risk of burns or hyperpigmentation.

Qualified practitioners - We want trained, experienced staff who will insist on consultation and a patch test first, not someone happy to zap us on the spot.

Clear expectations on comfort and aftercare - We favour clinics that explain the process honestly, including that rubber-snap feeling, cooling systems for comfort, the usual 6 to 8 sessions, and the prep rules like no sun, fake tan, waxing, or plucking before appointments.

I’ve always said my family’s real inheritance is hair, masses of it, just not in that glamorous, shampoo-ad way. My Da may never require a hair transplant, but on the downside, I’m over here researching laser hair removal in Glasgow like it’s my job.

More people in the city are ditching the endless shaving, waxing, and stubble. Medical-grade hair removal feels a lot more worth it when the goal is long-term results, not just one semi-smooth week.

If you want it done, the trick is knowing that not all laser treatments are equal. Here are the clinics worth your money that have safer settings for better results, regardless of skin tone and texture.

How much does hair removal in Glasgow cost?

In most aesthetic clinics in Glasgow, laser hair removal prices usually depend on the size of the area being treated.
Smaller areas like the upper lip, chin, or underarms often cost around £30 to £60 per session, medium areas like the bikini line, half arms, or half legs cost £60 to £100 per session, and larger areas like full legs, back, or chest are usually around £100 to £180 per session.
Because most people need around 6 to 8 sessions for solid results, many clinics offer package deals that knock 20% to 40% off the total if you book the full course upfront.

I was getting tired of wasting time and money on shaving and waxing, just to get prickly again a few minutes later. I chose to go to Ministry of Laser because of its Cynosure Elite Plus setup, which is a smart pick for darker skin tones and full body packages.

Their Renfield Street location is dead handy. The place itself feels polished without going full sterile mode, which I’ve always found intimidating and unfriendly.

I did note that it’s not a doctor-led centre, but I still got that sense of safety, not just a sales pitch once I stepped in. I also liked how they focus on hair removal, instead of trying to flog every treatment under the sun.

As a laser hair removal specialist, they cover the face, body, and men’s areas. I’d recommend booking a test patch here if you want a clinic that feels focused, experienced, and won’t try to hold you down with upsells.

That said, it may not be your first pick if you’re into heavily medical feels, or something clearly geared towards PCOS-specific treatment plans. The prep here is also a bit strict, so it’s not for anyone wanting to breeze in to get zapped on the spot.

Pros

  • Has technology for different skin tones
  • Laser-focused in the truest sense
  • Offers a free patch test
  • Centrally located

Cons

  • Not for impulse hair removal
  • Not doctor-led

Customer Reviews

The clinic is professional, and all the staff are so welcoming

Cannot recommend Ministry of Laser enough! I first went there around 3 years ago and felt comfortable instantly. The clinic is professional, and all the staff are so welcoming. A special mention to Liz, who always makes me feel completely at ease during my sessions. She’s also incredibly helpful when it comes to accommodating appointments. I truly wouldn’t go anywhere else—if you’re considering laser hair removal, this is definitely the clinic to go to!

They take the time to ensure you feel comfortable and well-informed

Ministry of Laser is amazing! Truly incredible service. The entire team is exceptionally knowledgeable and welcoming, and takes the time to ensure you feel comfortable and well-informed throughout the process. They are so friendly and take the time to get to know you. The results have been amazing and 100% effective, and far exceeded my expectations. The space itself is beautiful, modern and immaculately maintained, which really adds to the overall experience. It’s also centrally located with excellent transport links,s making it ideal for anyone travelling from outside the city. I would highly recommend this style of treatment to anyone. Would give it more than 5 stars if I could.

My teammate wanted hairless legs without the usual “but that’s not for men” nonsense. Therapie Clinic felt like the place for him, because it explicitly offers men’s laser, full body packages, and a place for people who treat hair removal like a proper plan.

He found the setup slick, busy, and very chain-clinic polished. He likes how it presents itself as a medical aesthetic clinic with access to qualified doctors, plus free consultations and a strong emphasis on medical-grade lasers and safety.

He especially appreciated the safety aspect. They pushed free consultations and patch testing along with cooling tech after the laser treatment, so it’s more tolerable for first-timers like him.

The key treatments at this clinic include laser hair removal for men and women, including major areas like the face, legs, upper body, lower body, and full body. The test patch comes in handy for those looking for a mainstream clinic with serious package options.

The downside is that the whole experience may feel a bit more high-volume chain than deeply personal from the jump. My pal also recommends asking about exact laser settings and the plan for your particular skin and hair type.

Pros

  • Offers men’s laser hair removal
  • Big clinic setup
  • Broad package choices
  • Convenient city centre location

Cons

  • Can feel more corporate and sales-driven
  • More specialist-led than doctor-led

She made the appointment very easy and enjoyable

I was a bit nervous before my first laser hair removal appointment, but Gemma put me at ease straight away. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. She chatted the whole time and made the appointment very easy and enjoyable. The treatment was practically painless, which I was very pleasantly surprised by. Would most definitely recommend this clinic to everyone I know!

My sessions always fly by with minimal discomfort

Shannon does my regular sessions, she’s so friendly, chatty and makes you feel at ease. Gemma, the manager, accommodated one of my sessions, and I had the same experience; she was so lovely as well and made me feel comfortable and chatted away. My sessions always fly by with minimal discomfort. Would highly recommend this clinic, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

My cousin is a competitive swimmer, so her full-body upkeep is basically part of the sport. Laser Clinics UK has become her go-to for serious hair removal, with the bonus of full body packages and the occasional half-off promo.

Since she’s always at the Silverburn Shopping Centre, she finds the clinic’s location quite handy. She describes its ambience as bright, tidy, and “pleasantly un-snobby”.

She appreciates that they insist on consultations and building a personalised treatment plan. The clinic also employs medical-grade Candela GentleLase Pro and GentleYag Pro rather than glorified IPL procedures.

Since she’s gotten a perpetual tan from swimming, she likes how the technology used is a better bet for darker skin tones rather than a one-size-fits-all technique. The laser side is carried out by specially trained specialists, too.

Do note that it’s still a busy chain clinic (and within a shopping centre, at that!), so the experience may feel more efficient than deeply personal. It’s also not specifically pitched towards PCOS-specific care, and there’s a no-refund policy, to boot.

Pros

  • Candela pairing of GentleLase Pro and GentleYag Pro
  • Full-body laser plans
  • Convenient shopping centre location

Cons

  • No-refund policy
  • Not marketed for PCOS-specific laser treatments

I’ve seen massive results after only three sessions

I honestly can’t recommend Laser Clinics enough. I’ve seen massive results after only three sessions, which completely exceeded my expectations. On my first visit, I had actually booked the wrong treatment, but the therapist was so honest and knowledgeable – they told me it wasn’t the right option for me and recommended a different treatment instead. That treatment ended up being half the price, and they refunded me straight away without any hassle, which I really appreciated.

Always takes the time to understand exactly what I need

I had the pleasure of having Kirsty as my therapist. From my first visit, she made me feel relaxed, welcome and completely looked after. Her attention to detail is amazing, and she always takes the time to understand exactly what I need. Not only is Kirsty highly skilled, but she’s also genuinely kind, professional and passionate about her job. Thanks again for the great results, will be back soon!

My bestie has PCOS, so her laser hair removal journey isn’t really about a bit of vanity fluff and a random chin zap. Este Medical Group helped her with her facial hair, peach fuzz, and full-body hair removal treatments, especially since it openly treats hormonal growth.

The place is a touch more serious than your average beauty spot, with its polished and clinical feel. Patch testing is required before getting started, and she also gets a free hair and skin assessment before a consultant-led treatment planning.

Tech-wise, they use Soprano Titanium and Candela laser systems. It helps that the clinic presents itself as part of a wider doctor-led aesthetic business with qualified practitioners.

My friend likes how they feel built for people who need a confidence boost, given their medical conditions. She recommends them to others needing PCOS-related facial hair treatments, and can tailor settings more carefully than a casual salon.

She did admit that it sometimes feels more like a multi-treatment medical aesthetics group than a laser-specific specialist. She doesn’t mind it, but she reckons some can feel intimidated by that.

Pros

  • Strong for PCOS-related facial hair
  • Uses a mix of laser treatments for flexibility
  • Consultation-led and plan-based

Cons

  • Medical aesthetic setup may feel intimidating to some
  • PCOS-related hair removal may require more upkeep than a zap-and-go session

Customer Reviews

She was incredibly reassuring

I have been having laser hair removal, and overall, the experience has been really positive. The staff are all very friendly, helpful and professional. Recently, I had an appointment with Sophie and reviewed my progress, as things had been moving a bit slower than expected. She was incredibly reassuring, knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly. After just one session with her, I have started to see noticeable results again and am feeling much more confident that I will achieve the results I was hoping for. I am very happy with the service and appreciate Sophie’s genuine care, attention to detail and how invested she is in helping you get the results you want.

Her gentle reassurance made me feel completely safe

Sophie is an exceptional clinician. Her depth of knowledge, clear explanations, and gentle reassurance made me feel completely safe and confident throughout my treatment. She handled everything with such care and professionalism that my nerves disappeared. I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better person to be in her hands.

I have a work colleague who’s been quietly stressing about her upper lip hair for ages. That’s why About Face felt like a practical confidence fix for her, not a vanity spiral.

It’s best for small facial areas and for clients who want a long-established city centre clinic that also does electrolysis when laser isn’t the ideal match. The vibe there is also more of a seasoned specialist salon rather than a flashy medical chain.

It’s not doctor-led, but it has been around since 1986. The centre treats areas like the upper lip, chin, legs, bikini line, underarms, back, and chest.

It’s noteworthy that it isn’t a clinic with a Candela or Cynosure setup, though. It uses Energist Ultra for IPL/VPL hair removal, which means it won’t be as good a fit for darker skin tones, PCOS-related facial hair plans, or anyone specifically hunting for a dual-wavelength medical laser.

Pros

  • Since 1986
  • Strong for the upper lip and other small facial areas
  • Advanced electrolysis for blemish-related work

Cons

  • Not ideal for darker skin laser safety
  • More of an established specialist salon than a medical aesthetics centre
