The best 5 maid agencies in Glasgow make home maintenance stress-free

Scheduling that matches real life - The agency should offer flexible recurring slots and not guilt-trip you into skipping a week, whether it’s for weekly, fortnightly, or monthly cleaning.

Clear scope (standard tidy vs deep scrub) - A proper service should spell out what’s included (bathrooms, floors, dusting, kitchen wipe-downs, etc.) and offer deep cleans (e.g. inside ovens, cupboards, and post-reno grime) when you need more than a surface shine.

Eco-friendly or non-toxic options - More people care about what goes on their floors and worktops, so agencies using green or hypoallergenic products (or letting you specify your own) always score extra points.

Reliability and protection - Cleaners should turn up when they say they will, and the agency should be insured and bonded, so you’re covered if something gets broken or someone can’t make it at the last minute.

The day the carpenters packed up, I swear half my hallway turned into sawdust confetti. My stonemason pal said, “It will settle,” but days had passed, and it still looked like the Sahara moved in.

By the following week of vacuuming, I had admitted defeat. I’m handy with a mop, aye, but drywall dust laughs in the face of supermarket spray.

So I went hunting for reliable folks who can handle post-reno chaos, Airbnb flip-arounds, and mysterious grime under skirting boards. These are the maid agencies in Glasgow I found that actually show up and clean up like pros.

How much does a maid agency in Glasgow charge?

Most maid agencies in Glasgow charge by the hour, with regular weekly or fortnightly cleans typically costing £16 to £23/hour. On the lower end, you can still find some charging £12/hour.

One-off deep cleans, move-in/move-out jobs, and post-renovation work usually sit at £20 to £30/hour, since they take more time, tools, and effort.

For fixed-price jobs, full home deep cleans often run £160 to over £325, depending on property size and dirt level. Airbnb/holiday-let turnovers are commonly priced per stay, roughly starting at £27, with extras like linen laundry added on top.

1. Glasgow Cleaning Specialists

Address: 355 Lincoln Avenue

Contact: +447543203536

Business hours: Daily, 8 AM–8 PM

Website

Glasgow Cleaning Specialists became my first call once the builders left my kitchen looking like a cement mixer exploded. They’re one of those rare outfits that expect chaos and don’t blink at plaster dust in your cornices.

They handle weekly standard cleaning, too, but I believe the magic is in their proper deep-dive jobs. I witnessed our ovens steamed, skirting boards wiped clean, and every socket face scrubbed until it stopped feeling gritty.

I liked that they showed up with their own kit: HEPA vacs, ladders, and heavy-duty sprays, so I didn’t need to scramble for supplies. They even offered eco-friendly options when I asked (no drama!).

Prices were clear from the start, which my wallet appreciated after the reno (plus, I got a free estimate). They cover most Glasgow postcodes without tacking on surprise travel fees.

That said, slots disappear fast if you’re not quick. Moreover, heavy-duty extras like carpet shampooing and window polishing stack on cost, so plan ahead if you’re on a budget.

Pros

  • Handles heavy post-reno deep cleans
  • Uses heavy-duty professional equipment
  • Offers eco-friendly/low-tox products
  • Transparent and free estimates

Cons

  • Peak slots fill fast
  • Limited availability for same-day or emergency jobs
  • Specialist add-ons cost extra

Did a great job of giving our house a well-needed clean

Zizi and her colleague (sorry, I didn’t catch the name) did a great job of giving our house a well-needed clean after we had lots of plastering done. We also had our stair carpet cleaned, and they look good as new. Communication was great, and we are delighted with the work. Thank you!

I’ve seen my pals’ flat left spotless even when tenants leg it at midnight. BuZy Bees can handle their end-of-tenancy and turnover cleans like it’s nae big deal. Their regular, one-off, move-in/move-out, and deep cleaning services cover pretty much every mess a landlord dreads.

The pricing is bespoke. You can get a free quote and plan together so your Airbnb shift-over clean is priced upfront without hidden bits. My friends also said they’re clear about competitive rates and tailored plans rather than mystery hourly traps.

They turn up with their own equipment and eco-friendly products, so you don’t have to scrap around for vacuums or sprays between guests. They’ve gotten my pals sorted through carpet, oven, and full flat blitzes after guests vacate.

I was happy to note that they serve Glasgow and nearby postcodes (roughly up to 20 miles, depending on the job), so hosts across the city can book without postcode panic. My friends have nothing but good things to say about their regular and tenancy jobs.

It’s good to note, though, that some online review scores vary, and there have been mentions of timing and price hitches on big deep jobs, so check the quote carefully before you lock it in.

Pros

  • Experts in Airbnb and end-of-tenancy cleaning
  • Brings all supplies and equipment
  • Offers tailored quotes
  • Covers Glasgow plus nearby towns

Cons

  • Limited availability outside Greater Glasgow
  • Pricing varies = can’t be compared at a glance
  • Peak turnover days (weekends) can book out fast

Amazing end-of-tenancy cleaning

Amazing end-of-tenancy cleaning done on my 2-bed flat. It was very dusty all throughout at the start, but after 3 hours, the floors were sparkling clean, all the surfaces were wiped, and the oven looked brand new. Ivan was very responsive via email and text from start to finish. Very happy with their service!

3. The Home Maid

If my busy sister can book weekly, fortnightly, or one-off deep cleans without chasing quotes, I reckon it’s worth a shout. The Home Maid handles all that, from regular dusting to proper deep jobs when life gets away from you.

She loves that they always send the same vetted cleaner, so there’s no awkward first introductions every cleaning day for her family. All staff are ID-checked, fully insured, and the back office will swap cleaners if the chemistry is off.

The rates are clear from the start (about £16.75/hour for weekly cleans) with no sneaky extras, and they cover most of Glasgow with good reach. The supplies and equipment come from the client’s home, though (my sister doesn’t mind as she has a closetful).

She even gets ironing thrown in as an add-on, which is perfect for a busy household juggling family, work, school, and zero spare hours. My sister appreciates the quick replies and friendly answers from the admin when plans shift, too.

However, deep clean jobs can take longer than a quick polish and will bump up your total cost. Just be ready for the hours to stack. Also, same-cleaner consistency is brilliant until someone’s off sick, which can tighten slots at short notice.

Pros

  • Offers flexible scheduling
  • Consistent cleaner assignments
  • Allows use of the owner’s supplies
  • Clear hourly rates

Cons

  • Deep clean costs can add up
  • Coverage may be limited on the outer Glasgow fringes

4. Ladybird Services

When my niece, an airline cabin crew member, is in Singapore one week and London the next, Ladybird Services keeps her Glasgow flat liveable, not just tidy. They handle her regular cleaning plus laundry, bed linen changes, rubbish runs, and more.

They bring their own supplies and gear and will even water my niece’s plants or check her fridge for dodgy milk. Her cat doesn’t complain about them feeding her, either, which says a lot (I heard she’s pickier than an Airbnb guest).

My niece said pricing was upfront and easy to understand, with clear costs for extras like ironing and light shopping. Communication seems solid, as well. She gets confirmations and reminders so she doesn’t have to bug them mid-flight.

She was mostly sold on how flexible they are with odd tasks (e.g. pet care and fridge checks) that other agencies shrug at, which suits her scatterbrained travel schedule perfectly.

But because they do a bit of everything, jobs can take longer and creep up the total bill compared to any other straight-cleaning maid agency in Glasgow. And at peak times like holidays and long weekends, booking a favourite team can be a bit of a scramble.

Pros

  • Offers cleaning and extended household support
  • Includes supplies and equipment
  • Upfront pricing with clear costs

Cons

  • Longer visit times can make total charges higher
  • Favoured slots fill up fast on holidays
  • Not ideal for homes requiring minimal cleaning only

Tracey and Lyndsay did a fantastic job

Really happy with the service! Carly responded quickly, came round to the flat and provided a clear quote. Great communication throughout. Tracey and Lyndsay did a fantastic job deep cleaning my flat. The place is absolutely spotless and sparkling. Thank you so much, ladies!

5. Miracle Cleaning

I spilt some red wine on the sofa the day before work pals were due round, and Miracle Cleaning, so aptly named, swooped in without attitude. They’re proper lifesavers when you’ve got guests on the way, from weekly/fortnightly cleans to one-off stain removal.

It was obvious they knew what they were doing with sofas and carpets as I watched the stain disappear. They also brought their own equipment and supplies, including carpet and upholstery cleaners that actually lift stains instead of spreading them around.

Once I got the quote, pricing was pretty straightforward. There were no hidden fees for stain removal or added attention to tricky fabric. Booking was easy, too: they turned up on time, as they’re local and have seen many a stained upholstery in their job.

For a Glasgow service, they cover a nice chunk of the city, so you’re not stuck if you end up muddying your carpets and scrambling to get them before guests show up.

The downside? Because they do stain and upholstery work as well as house cleaning, their slots can fill up fast when folks have parties or renovations on the go. Also, deep cleans involving sofas or carpets can push the total bill higher than regular cleaning.

Pros

  • Strong reputation for carpet, sofa/upholstery and stain removal cleaning
  • Experienced and respectful staff
  • Domestic cleaning and specialist upholstery = no need for separate cleaners

Cons

  • Overall costs can be higher compared with basic maid agencies
  • Scheduling can fill up quickly on holidays/party season

The team always arrives on time

Absolutely brilliant service. We’ve used Miracle Clean a few times now, and they’re consistently excellent. The team always arrives on time, they work quickly but with real attention to detail, and the results are genuinely impressive. They’re polite, professional, and really easy to deal with. Rates are very reasonable for the quality of work you get. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable cleaners who actually deliver what they promise.

Their rates are much more affordable compared to others

I’m really impressed with Miracle Cleaning services. Their work is absolutely meticulous — every corner was spotless, and nothing was overlooked. They are quick and efficient without cutting corners, and their professionalism really stood out. On top of that, their rates are much more affordable compared to others I’ve tried. Great value for money and excellent service — highly recommended.
