Get the party started with the 5 best DJs in Glasgow!
There’s a special kind of awkwardness when wedding guests spend more time studying the table centrepieces than dancing. And when the cutlery makes more noise than the music, something’s gone terribly wrong!
A cracking DJ knows when to turn up the energy and when to let the crowd catch its breath. From swanky weddings to buzzing local nightclubs, that takes more than a Spotify playlist and a pair of speakers.
So, we’ve compared mixing styles, venue experience, and professional credentials to separate the crowd-pleasers from the party poopers. Here’s our guide to finding the best DJ in Glasgow to keep everyone dancing until the final tune!
How much does it cost to hire a DJ in Glasgow?
Hiring a professional DJ in Glasgow typically costs £350–£600 for an evening party. All-day wedding entertainment usually starts at £900 and can exceed £1,200.
| Service Type | Typical Price |
| Standard Evening Party | £350–£600 |
| All-Day Wedding Package | £900–£1,200+ |
Prices vary depending on booking hours, equipment, and entertainment requirements.
1. Fresh Entertainments

Address: 23 Greenwood Ave, Moodiesburn
Contact: 0141 478 0239 | Mobile: 07397 901779 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 10 AM–5 PM; Friday, 10 AM–3 PM; events contact line: 24 hours
From Merchant City wedding receptions to big family celebrations across Greater Glasgow, nobody wants a DJ recycling the same tired party tricks. Fresh Entertainments ditches the cheesy routines for slick mixing, lively hosting, and tunes that get even the shyest guests moving.
We like that their online music planner lets couples choose their must-play favourites and banish those dreaded party anthems. Their DJs can even download unexpected requests through iTunes, although they’ll have the final say on what gets played.
For the finer details, their professional MC services keep speeches and announcements running smoothly without hogging the microphone.
They also offer a discreet Bose sound system for ceremonies, while dedicated DJ equipment powers the evening celebrations.
However, their standard evening package ends at midnight, so late-night celebrations require an extended booking. And if you’ve got your heart set on a particular DJ, you’ll need written confirmation, as they normally assign performers around four weeks before the event.

Exceptional DJ Service and Smooth Communication
We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. Fresh Entertainment were a pleasure to deal with, and everything was well communicated and easy to arrange. We were allocated Craig and had a video call a few weeks before to get to know each other and to run through things.
Craig was absolutely brilliant from start to finish and played a huge part in making the evening such a success.

Seamless Booking Process and Unforgettable Party Atmosphere
Couldn’t recommend Fresh Entertainments more if we tried! The booking process was seamless and they were super friendly and efficient to work with through the planning process, especially with the online event planner!
Some of our guests loved the option of requesting songs in advance.
On the day of our wedding, we had Robert (would give more than 5 stars if possible). He was fantastic to work with, and so many of our guests during the night and for days afterwards were complimenting our DJ and the songs he played. Would use Fresh Entertainments in the future!

2. Gordy is a DJ

Address: 32 Pendeen Crescent
Contact: 0141 773 2663 | Mobile: 07977 339 615 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Tuesday, Thursday-Sunday, 10 AM – 9 PM
A proper ceilidh can get any Glasgow celebration buzzing, even when half the guests have two left feet. Gordon of Gordy is a DJ who knows how to get everyone moving, mixing traditional dance calling with modern party favourites.
With over 25 years of DJ experience, Gordon has entertained crowds at Glasgow favourites like Cottiers and House for an Art Lover. Better yet, his wife Emma handles the bookings, while advance consultations and an interactive guest playlist help tailor the music to your big day.
For extra peace of mind, Gordon carries backup equipment and holds £10 million in public liability insurance. His three Scottish VOWS Awards add another feather to his cap, recognising his talent for keeping celebrations in full swing.
That said, wedding packages start at £945, making this a pricier option for couples watching their pennies. Decorative mood lighting costs another £195 for 15 lights, so factor that into your budget before booking.

Attentive Service and Perfect Music Selection
Gordy and Emma recently performed at my wife’s and my wedding celebration party. They could not have been more attentive and helpful in the lead-up to this, and made everything so easy. On the day, they played a perfect selection of songs which our guests loved. We can’t thank them enough for providing such an amazing service, and we’d recommend them to anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding.

3. 5 Star Discos – DJ Hire

Address: 36 Claudius Cres, Cambuslang
Contact: 07921069258 | [email protected]
Hours: Available 24/7
Why settle for a standard disco when you can give your Glasgow bash a live-music twist? Graham, the DJ behind 5 Star Discos, draws on his experience as a professional guitarist to mix tracks creatively rather than letting a playlist do the heavy lifting.
Want to turn the energy up another notch? You can add a live saxophonist or percussionist, while optional confetti cannons and cold sparks bring extra spectacle to the dance floor.
Beyond the flashy stuff, Graham uses touring-grade sound equipment and carries £10 million in public liability insurance. His standard setup typically takes 30–45 minutes, helping organisers plan around venue access and guest arrivals.
Do note that Graham performs at private events, so you can’t watch him DJ live before booking.
Also, live musicians and special effects cost extra, meaning those show-stopping additions could push your party budget higher.

Fantastic DJ Package with Outstanding Passion
If you’re considering hiring Graham as your DJ… do it, and get the full package; you won’t regret it! I can’t put into words how fantastic Graham is at what he does. From the first meeting, his communication and excitement for our day were amazing. He seemed genuinely just as buzzing as we were, which was so nice.

Highly Recommended DJ for Any Special Event
I would highly recommend Graham 5 Star Discos for a DJ for your wedding, birthday or child’s party. I booked Graham for my daughter’s birthday party, and he had the kids entertained the whole time, which is quite hard to do with a 7-year-old. He also recently did my sister’s 50th birthday party, and he had people up dancing the full night. He plays the best music and makes the night personal for the person celebrating. I would only book Graham if I were ever to book a DJ again.

4. One More Tune DJs

Address: 319 Albert Drive
Contact: 07824 564 397 | [email protected]
Hours: Hours may vary. Contact for availability
From The Arches to Glasgow’s liveliest private parties, John from One More Tune DJs knows how to work a crowd. His years running Pin Up Nights give him proper clubbing credentials, not just a knack for pressing play.
We appreciate that he doesn’t expect everyone to have the same taste in tunes. Whether you’ve planned every song or need help building a playlist, John works around your favourites to keep the party flowing.
And here’s an unexpected twist: his background as a commercial lawyer comes in handy when offering speech-writing advice! For something more personal, his vintage-style audio guestbook lets guests record messages you’ll receive as an MP3 keepsake.
The catch? Package prices only cover Glasgow and Greater Glasgow, so venues farther afield may incur travel charges.
The audio guestbook also costs an extra £90, so you’ll need to budget separately for those cheeky recorded confessions.

Unbeatable Wedding Atmosphere and Guest Engagement
John D soundtracked our wedding on Saturday 3/5/25, and I have genuinely never seen so many of my friends and family have so much fun!
He took all our choices into consideration, seamlessly mixed in others that fit perfectly, and managed multiple requests from guests to create the best atmosphere we could wish for. The dancefloor was packed all night.
We could not be happier with our decision, and we are so glad we went with One More Tune DJ. Thank you so much for all your hard work and for making our day so special!

5. DJ Steph Gee – Wedding Specialist

Address: 15 Greenrig St
Contact: [email protected]
Hours: Available 24/7
Glasgow wedding breakfasts don’t have to be all polite chatter and clinking cutlery. DJ Steph Gee spices things up with mental bingo, singalongs, and dance-offs that’ll give even the shyest relatives a wee nudge.
Better yet, couples can take centre stage in a DJ battle, turning their music tastes into friendly competition.
We love that Steph personally performs at every advertised booking, so you’ll know who’s bringing the banter and keeping the tunes flowing.
Behind the fun, his private online portal helps couples organise their timeline, choose songs, and review guest requests. His MC services keep speeches and introductions on track without letting the microphone steal the show.
That said, mealtime entertainment requires the £1,395 all-day package, rather than the £995 evening option. Both packages typically finish at midnight, so couples planning a late-night knees-up will need to arrange extended coverage.

Unbelievable DJ Service and Great Wedding Advice
Steph was unbelievable as our wedding DJ. Before the wedding day even came, he was extremely helpful on the calls we had, giving us advice on how to make it a perfect day. We booked Steph for the meal and evening party; he helped make the speeches go smoothly and kept the dancefloor full the whole night. Could not thank him enough, highly recommend!! Best in the business

Amazing Energy and Effortless Custom Music Remixes
Steph was absolutely amazing as our wedding DJ. From our very first call, right through to the big day itself, he brought such a magnetic energy that instantly put us at ease.
In the lead-up, he was incredibly accommodating — we even asked him to remix and create a couple of songs for us, and nothing was ever too much trouble. He handled everything effortlessly and made the whole process feel easy and exciting.
