The Best Composite Decking in Glasgow – Stubbornly Durable & Low-Maintenance!
I’ve always enjoyed sitting outside on the rare blessed days when the sun shows up. The lawn is a nice spot to do so, but setting garden chairs straight on the grass was never the most comfortable.
That’s what made me look into composite decking. It’s sturdier than timber, doesn’t need constant upkeep, and holds up well in whatever weather.
Now that I’ve been making the most of it during brighter days, I thought I’d share the research I did and put together a list of the best composite decking suppliers in Glasgow. I hope they’ll make your yard a bit cosier!
How much does composite decking cost in Glasgow?
Composite decking in Glasgow usually comes in at around £48 per board. However, your price may differ depending on the brand, the quality of the boards, and the type of finish you choose.
1. Eco Deck Scotland

Products offered: Eco Pro, NextGen, and Ultra Core
Address: Unit 13, Greenhill Business Park, Paisley
Phone number: +44 7572 654624
Business hours:
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (MON-FRI)
8:30 AM – 12:30 PM (SAT)
Eco Deck Scotland is a decent choice if you want to save on composite decking. They offer three main options, with the top range costing about £35 per board, which is quite affordable!
I think a key reason for the lower price is that their boards are made from more than 70% FSC-certified recycled wood fibres mixed with high-density polyethylene. It keeps costs down while also making the product sturdier and more eco-friendly.
I also like that they back their decking with a warranty that runs from 15 to 30 years. If you’re planning to build the deck yourself, they can arrange next-day delivery around Glasgow.
They also provide free home visits to help with sizing and advice.
However, it’s disappointing that they don’t have a proper online store or booking system, so you need to leave your contact details and wait for someone to get in touch.
I genuinely can’t fault a thing
“Outstanding work. NewGen is easily one of the most visually impressive boards out there. I first installed it on my balcony and was so impressed, I decided to use it for the main decking too. When you’re investing a significant amount—especially when aesthetics matter—there’s always that nagging worry about whether the fitters will do it justice. Well, hats off to John and Michael. They were exceptional from start to finish. Flawless execution. I genuinely can’t fault a thing. Highly recommended”

2. Glasgow Decking Services

Products offered: Composite decking made from recycled plastic and wood
Address: 2, 1, 3 Strathyre St, Shawlands
Phone number: +44 141 363 0245
If you’re looking for another supplier that offers eco-friendly options, Glasgow Decking Services is worth a look. They’ve been around for more than a decade and focus on composite boards made from recycled plastic and wood, so you’ll get something sturdy while also doing your bit for the environment.
Their boards come with a warranty that runs from 10 to 25 years, which shows they have confidence in the quality.
Another thing that stands out is how quickly they work. Most jobs are wrapped up in just one or two days, which is impressive compared to many trades.
Unfortunately, you’ll need to go through a bit of back and forth before you can get a clear estimate on pricing. They also don’t provide official business hours, which makes it harder for people to know exactly when they’re available.

Phone number: +44 141 556 4053

9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (SAT)
Glesga Garden Guy is a local landscaping outfit that takes on a mix of garden projects, including installing driveways and decking. What stood out to me is their focus on composite decking, especially their Ultrashield Decking Boards.
These are capped boards built to handle the wet Scottish weather, and they save you the effort of constant sanding or staining.
I like that they use 3D design to show you how the decking will look before any work begins. It makes planning easier and helps you feel more confident about the layout. They also provide free quotes to make it easy to weigh up costs before committing.
On the downside, I’ve heard from a few people who struggled to get replies to calls and emails. It’s also disappointing that they lack a clear warranty policy, which could put off some folks.
Did a fantastic job building our new decking
“Had a call asking if the work could begin earlier than planned, the guys came on time, were very pleasant and did a fantastic job building our new decking and new fencing. We changed from the original plan a little and the guys were happy to help with this. All invoices and receipts were issued promptly too. I would highly recommend this very professional company. A credit to Alec, a fantastic team.”

4. Modway Scotland

Products offered: ReversaDek Pro, EasyClean, WeatherDek, and EvoDek+
Address: Unit A2 – Rear Unit, Rowallan Business Park, Southcraig Ave, Kilmarnock
Phone number: +44 1563 522388
Business hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (MON-FRI)
Modway Scotland installed the composite decking at my home, and I was happy with the choice!
Their boards are made from recycled plastics and wood fibres, and they meet British Standard BS EN 607, which means they’ve been tested for safety and durability. That gave me confidence that the decking would last.
They also provided a design service, which made it easier to pick the right style for my space. I went with their Aged Oak WeatherDek because it has the look of traditional timber and the benefit of a 25-year warranty.
I found out they can also design and install DDA-compliant access decking, which ensures safe use for wheelchair users and anyone with mobility challenges.
The only drawbacks are the higher price compared to other options and the fact that they’re not available on weekends.
Great workers and very pleasant
“Have just had a deck fitted. David and his team did a fantastic job. The job was completed in a day and a half. We were delighted. Great workers and very pleasant. Would recommend Midway to anyone.”

Products offered: Ultrashield Decking Board range
Address: Miehaven Townhead Farm, Mosshall Street, Motherwell
Phone number: +44 7791 575653

With over 20 years of experience in decking, Decking Direct is another seasoned supplier that’s worth considering. They focus on the Ultrashield Decking Board range, which comes in colours like teak, wild brown, and star grey.
What’s interesting is that their boards are coated to resist mould and algae, which makes them easier to maintain. They’re also colour-stabilised, so they hold their look for longer.
In terms of guarantees, the warranty lasts 10 years. It’s not the longest you’ll find, but it does provide some peace of mind. On the practical side, they’re quite decent with turnaround times, with most jobs completed within 48 hours.
They also offer free consultations, so it’s easy to get started. However, they don’t have a proper online booking system, so arranging a slot usually means a bit of back and forth over the phone.
