The 5 Best Birthday Party Venues in Glasgow for Unforgettable Bashes
I asked a few great party planners in Glasgow about where they’d actually book a birthday celebration, and their answers were anything but one-size-fits-all!
On their list are science workshops for curious kids, soft play for toddlers, and industrial warehouses for unconventional grown-ups.
That’s why, when picking out the best birthday party venues in Glasgow for this review, I considered many party styles. Take a look at this guide to compare pricing, capacities, and locations at a glance.
How much does a birthday party venue in Glasgow cost?
A birthday party venue in Glasgow can cost anywhere from £19.50 per child for kids’ soft play packages to around £25 to £40 per person for standard birthday venue bookings.
For private rooms or adult parties, expect roughly £30 to £80 per hour, or £350 to £1,000 minimum spend per event. The cost will depend on the location, guest count, day of the week, and extras like catering, DJs, decor, or entertainment.
1. Little Big Star Party Venue

Address: 860 Crow Rd, Anniesland
Contact: +447568516810
Business hours:
Saturday, 9 AM–5 PM
Sunday, 10 AM–4 PM
Little Big Star feels like a magical sleepover boutique, which is exactly why I eyed it for my little niece’s birthday (along with a couple of her closest school pals). Her mum and I love their at-home teepee parties that take the celebrations to a comfier level.
The one we chose comes with themed tents, fairy lights, trays, cushions, props, and next-day collection. It all felt very wee VIP lounge without upending the house the way usual kiddie parties do (and it helps that it’s more intimate, capacity-wise).
It’s a good fit for kids who like cosy, styled experiences, not milestone adults. The noise level should be gentler than a trampoline park or soft play bash, though you can expect a lot of giggling once the pampering bits and fairy lights come out.
Teepee pricing starts at £100 for 2 tents, and £210 for 6 tents. Since each teepee needs about 100 cm x 160 cm space, I’d recommend it for small groups (around 6) where the living room has enough space to breathe.
We also found it handy that Little Big Star offers both mobile parties and a dedicated Anniesland venue (right near the train station and with free parking nearby!). The venue side adds pamper, slime, glow, craft, and giant bubble-style activities, though I believe the at-home tea party angle is the softer, sweeter winner with this company.
That said, they’re not built for big birthday blowouts, private bars, or high-energy parties. Balloons also cost extra, and the kind of space you have at home matters for the six-tent package to work comfortably.
The venue is absolutely stunning
I had my daughter’s 6th birthday party here. Lois was so friendly and accommodating throughout the whole process from initial enquiry, booking and on the day. The venue is absolutely stunning, attention to detail is amazing, and a pink lover’s dream. The girls who hosted the party were so lovely and patient with the little ones, and make sure everyone had a lovely time. The birthday was made a fuss of, and she had an amazing time at the party with her friends. Thank you all so much, we will see you again.

Lois made the party organisation enjoyable and stress-free
A wonderful time was enjoyed by my daughter and her friends at her recent Little Big Star Pamper Party! From start to finish, Lois made the party organisation enjoyable and stress-free. She has created a fantastic party concept, which is a pink glitter dream for little girls. Absolutely gorgeous afternoon of birthday celebrations. Thank you again, Lois and team!

2. Box Hub

Address: 50 Washington St, Floor G, Axiom
Contact: +441412660664
Business hours: Open 24 hours
We suggested Box Hub to our boss for his 50th birthday, since he mentioned wanting a celebration that has “serious art collector energy” (minus the stuffy hotel function room-feel).
The venue has an industrial-chic mood, with a warehouse-style blank canvas, natural light, AV, PA system, projector, and a handcrafted bar built into a repurposed shipping container. Suffice it to say, it all suits his artistic sensibilities to a T.
It’s definitely a venue for milestone-celebrating adults. It can accommodate speeches, cocktails, gallery-style mingling, an acoustic band or DJ set, and a playlist that can get louder without having to worry about neighbouring shops or venues complaining.
Capacity-wise, Box Hub (The Vennel) handles around 90 seated or 200 standing, so it sits in the stylish mid-sized lane. Our boss found pricing fairly clear, too: hire fees are listed from £395, rising to around £695 on Fridays, which is decent for a City Centre warehouse-style venue.
We found accessibility a strong point, as well. It’s on Washington Street, with parking available and external catering allowed. There aren’t any novelty extras, but for art collectors and milestone birthdays for people who want to design the night their own way, that flexibility is their whole charm.
The catch is that Box Hub doesn’t offer in-house catering, so the food planning needs a bit more effort. The Vennel is also capped at 200 standing, though there are other, bigger-capacity venues being offered by the company.
All the staff were pleasant and helpful
Booked the Box Hub for a birthday party. Started at 7, the band played from 7:30 to 9:30, then a disco. Finished at midnight. Had roughly 70 guests. Were met by the manager at 5 pm to go in and put decorations up, and for the band to set up and sound check. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. The bar had a decent range of choices, and the door staff were pleasant and professional. The venue is great for this. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone.

The staff on the night were very attentive
We recently held my daughter’s 21st at Boxhub, the venue provided the perfect backdrop for a great night. The decor and flexible space allowed us to add our own stamp to it and created a great atmosphere. The staff on the night were very attentive and efficient. The feedback we got from all guests confirmed it was the right choice. Complimented by The Wood Fire Pizza Truck, which was also a big hit

3. WeePlay – Soft Play & Party Venue

Address: The Forge Market, Unit 1-3, 1201 Duke St
Contact: +441415563423
Business hours: Daily, 10 AM–6 PM
WeePlay is pure colourful soft-play energy, so we at the neighbourhood community club booked it for the neighbourhood kids celebrating their birthdays in the same month (there are dozens of them!).
The venue allows kids of all ages to climb, slide, squeal, and burn off party cake fuel. It has a toddler area for ages 1 to 3, and a main play structure for ages 3 to 12. There are slides, monkey bars, and a sports arena, which is great for high-energy kids.
For our purpose, the venue’s atmosphere felt practical and family-friendly. The noise level is expectedly classic soft play; cheerful chaos with a volume knob, but the cafe and parent/guardian-friendly setup helped make it less of a survival mission for us.
We found the accessibility decent for families coming by car, as it’s within the Forge Market area. It’s around 10 minutes from the city centre, has 450 free parking spaces, WiFi, an ATM, and mobility-friendly facilities, too.
Don’t expect private bars or fancy workshops, but for a lively soft play party, it’s a big win. For us, organising a huge event for the neighbourhood’s little ones, it’s great to have a secure play place while we can sit down to rest.
The main drawback is that it’s not the most distinctive choice for older kids or adults. It can also get noisy fast, so it may not be the best fit for guests with sensory differences.
We were really pleased with everything overall
Had my little girl’s birthday here on Friday, first time doing a wee event for my girl’s birthday, and I was really pleased with everything! Staff did amazing, they were so nice, friendly and attentive. We were really pleased with everything overall. Would definitely recommend and will 100% be using them for future events too!x thank yous for everything!

Everything ran like clockwork
My son had his 4th birthday party, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. A friendly welcome from the moment we entered the building. Introduced to our host, Millie, who clearly explained the plan for the party and offered to help set up. Everything ran like clockwork and took a massive amount of stress off of us. Having been to this soft play numerous times, I know it is always immaculate with super helpful and friendly staff. Got to be one of the best in Glasgow.

4. Bounce & Party

Address: 531 Edinburgh Rd
Contact: +447949837154
Business hours: Daily, 9 AM–9 PM
I immediately liked Bounce & Party’s mobile mayhem ambience when I went along to my nephew’s school pal’s comedy-magic birthday party. It had that proper Glasgow kids’ bash energy with loud laughter, silly tricks, disco lights, and parents thoroughly enjoying themselves.
It’s an ideal setup for high-energy kids ages 4 to 9. The Magic and Mayhem package (the one we attended) features a 45-minute comedy magic show that had the guests clamouring for more, plus a party host, games, prizes, music, and disco lights.
I found the noise level lively and controlled; the sort of happy pandemonium befitting a kiddie party. The company covers Glasgow and much of Lanarkshire, with accessibility depending on the hall, home, or venue you book, rather than one fixed site.
That makes it handy for schools, community halls, and family parties, though you’ll want to check space, parking, and setup access before inviting the whole class.
During my research, I discovered that the package cost £265 for 2 hours, which isn’t bad at all! It doesn’t bring anything fancy, but it does bring a full children’s party setup to wherever you choose, with add-ons you can control.
The main catch is that it’s entertainment-led, not a standalone venue. You’ll still need to sort the room, food, seating, and possibly venue hire, so if you’ve got the time and effort to exert for that, it’s a win.
My daughter and all of her friends had a wonderful time at the party
Last week, Rob provided the entertainment for my daughter’s 6th birthday party. He was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. From our initial contact and throughout, he was very helpful and accommodating. On the day, he set up so efficiently and was clear about how and why the party would be best organised. My daughter and all of her friends had a wonderful time at the party. The bouncy castle disco was a massive hit, and so many parents have let me know their children really loved the party games. Rob had all the kids laughing and enjoying themselves so much. Most importantly, he really made my daughter smile and feel so special and happy on her birthday! Thanks, Rob, I really appreciate it and would highly recommend your amazing entertainment business to others! Cheers!

We felt in safe hands with no doubts at all
We just had a party for our daughter with Bounce and Party, which was a great success! Communication was excellent from the initial enquiry all the way through to the day of the party. We felt in safe hands with no doubts at all, which turned out to be spot on. Rob took excellent control of the kids, and the party schedule was very slick. Our daughter and friends all had a great time. Would thoroughly recommend!

5. Wish Upon a Star Kingdom

Address: 5, UNIT 98, Morris Park, 37 Rosyth Rd, Wish Upon A Star Kingdom Roadway
Contact: +441412660634
Business hours:
Monday to Friday, 10 AM–5 PM
Saturday, 11 AM–3 PM
Sunday, noon–3 PM
For my cautious neighbour planning her little girl’s birthday, Wish Upon a Star Kingdom was the way to go. It’s got full-on storybook sparkle, but also provides the big comfort of having PVG-certified performers who are trained in both adult and children’s first aid.
It’s a great fit for kids who love characters, costumes, and theatrical hosting. You can expect princesses, superheroes, party hosts, face painting, eco glitter, bouncy castles, soft play, pamper parties, boutique parties, baby/toddler parties, and big kid options.
The atmosphere is magical but lively, especially when the wee ones get over their initial shyness. Accessibility is quite decent since it’s based in Morris Park, where they offer both Kingdom parties and touring parties.
For parents who want a hosed party space or character entertainment brought to another venue, the latter option is pretty convenient. Overall, it’s a great fit for those who value trained hosts, polished costumes, and a one-stop party team who know how to act around emergencies.
That said, it may be too high-energy and character-heavy for kids who prefer quiet, low-sensory gatherings. Bookings also require a deposit, so parents should confirm the full package cost plus add-ons first before committing.
All the kids had a great time
We had our daughter’s 4th birthday party at Wish Upon a Star Kingdom, and we were really happy with them. All the kids had a great time, and the two princesses never broke character the entire time. The host was lovely and checked in several times to make sure we were happy with how everything was going. We also had a face painter, who did a fantastic job and made sure every child got a chance to have their face painted. Fantastic service and lovely staff.

Both girls were great and interacted really well with all the children
We had Anna and Elsa visit our daughter for her 3rd birthday party. Both girls were great and interacted really well with all the children, dancing and playing games. Would definitely recommend Wish Upon A Star Kingdom to anyone looking to surprise their little ones on a special occasion with their favourite characters.
