5 Best Beauty Salons in Glasgow for Nails, Brows & Facials
A good beauty salon can rescue a lot of bad mirror moments. Since I can’t quite afford permanent makeup yet, I have learned to value skilled hands and treatments that actually last.
Glasgow is packed with choices, from polished city centre salons to quirky West End favourites. The best ones make the effort feel worth it, be it for nails, brows, facials, or, in my case, a bit of pre-event damage control.
This review is for finding a beauty salon in Glasgow that’s genuinely worth booking, so get ready to get your glow on, girl!
How much does it cost to go to a beauty salon in Glasgow?
In Glasgow, beauty salon prices can vary widely depending on the treatment. A standard gel polish manicure costs around £25 to £35, while acrylic or BIAB (builder-in-a-bottle) extensions cost around £40 to £55.
Basic waxing, like the eyebrows or lip, costs around £10 to £15, while intimate waxing (like a Hollywood) tends to go for £35 to £45.
For brows and lashes, a lash lift or brow lamination costs around £40 to £55, while individual lash extensions often start at £60.
If you’re booking skincare or relaxation treatments, a 60-minute tailored facial or full-body Swedish massage ranges from £50 to £85.
Do note that tipping at a Glasgow beauty salon is typically not required, but it’s always appreciated if the service was especially good. A tip of around 10% to 15% of the final bill is a common and welcome gesture.
1. PURE Spa & Beauty (West Nile Street)

Address: 114 W Nile St
Contact: +443302321888
Business hours:
Monday, 8.30 AM–8 PM
Tuesday to Thursday, 9 AM–8 PM
Friday, 8.30 AM–8 PM
Saturday, 9 AM–7 PM
Sunday, 10 AM–6 PM
PURE Spa & Beauty on West Nile Street suits people like me who need polished brows and neat nails before facing a room full of gallery guests and potential art collectors.
It’s right in the Glasgow City Centre, just by Buchanan Galleries and Queen Street, so it works well for maintenance between meetings or events.
The vibe here feels more like a busy city beauty-and-wellness hub than a hushed boutique hideaway. PURE positions this branch as its Glasgow spa, wellness tech, laser hair removal, and beauty hub, so it has a broader menu than a nails-only shop.
For my beauty upkeep, the main draw is convenience without sacrificing range. Their key services are manicures, pedicures, gel nails, waxing, facials, massage, and tanning. The wider brand also promotes memberships and weekday lunchtime offers to soften the blow of repeat bookings.
I like how it’s not just chasing the Instagram-salon crowd. It also leans into skincare and wellness through its own PURE skincare line and longer spa-style treatments. I’d recommend booking here if you want quick manicures, polished brows, facials, or painless waxing in a central location.
The trade-off is that this kind of central, all-in-one salon can feel less intimate than a tiny specialist brow or nail studio. It also sits in premium city-centre territory, so it’s not as budget-friendly as most suburban salons.
The massage and facial were amazing
Don’t overlook this spa because it’s in a busy city centre and almost hidden behind roadworks. It’s as good as any I have been to. Very clean with low lighting, and the massage and facial were amazing. I feel more relaxed than I have in months.

2. The Beauty Store Glasgow Westend

Contact: +447537144916
Business hours:
Monday, noon–5 PM
Tuesday to Wednesday, 10 AM–7 PM
Thursday, 10 AM–8 PM
Friday, 10 AM–6 PM
Saturday, 10 AM–5 PM
I pointed my older brother in the direction of The Beauty Store, Glasgow West End, because he wanted his toenails sorted without feeling like he wandered into the wrong room. After all, one of its genuinely useful quirks is that it openly offers male treatments (which is still not as common as it should be!).
My brother appreciated the luxe, slightly glossy image, which didn’t intimidate him one bit. It still pushes practical booking through its own app, even as it gives off that polished West End Vibe.
Its menu breadth is also quite impressive, especially for clients who need more than a basic file-and-polish job. Services include luxury pedicures, skincare treatments, waxing (also available for men!), facials, and newer aesthetic options like Glo2 Facial and body contouring, so it works for both routine grooming and bigger glow-up days.
My brother finds it reliable as a one-stop grooming shop rather than hunting down separate specialists. It especially suits West End clients, image-conscious regulars, and men who want pampering that’s clearly catered for instead of awkwardly tolerated.
That said, The Beauty Store is still more geared towards full-service beauty and aesthetics, so if you only want ultra-specialist nail art or a quiet spa atmosphere, you may prefer a more niche place.
Lorna is very talented and professional at everything she does
Would highly recommend The Beauty Store. Lorna is very talented and professional at everything she does. I always leave the salon feeling a million dollars. She offers great advice and always makes me feel at ease. Never leave without booking my next appointment. Keep up the good work, Lorna; I would be lost without you.

The salon is beautiful and makes you feel comfortable
Very professional and welcoming. The salon is beautiful and makes you feel comfortable. Lorna was very sweet and made me comfortable from the start. The waxing was very fast and didn’t hurt at all. I would recommend the experience to anyone who is looking for a beauty salon in Glasgow.

3. Savannah Beauty Centre

Address: 482 Crow Rd
Contact: +441413340077
Business hours:
Monday to Thursday, 9.30 AM–8 PM
Friday, 9.30 AM–6 PM
Saturday, 9 AM–5.30 PM
My bestie swears by Savannah Beauty Centre to handle her peach fuzz on the regular. Before it starts catching light more than her highlighter, off to the salon she goes for her routine dermaplaning.
The vibe there is more proper beauty-and-day-spa retreat than one with a loud Instagram backdrop. It suits people like my friend who don’t want to feel rushed while she’s being de-fuzzed.
It helps that they’ve been trading on advanced treatment for years, with dermaplaning clearly one of their flagship skin services rather than just a random add-on. For treatment range, this place goes well beyond basic salon maintenance.
Aside from dermaplaning, they offer facials, eye treatments, waxing, massage, treatments for gents, and also promote names like CACI, Collagen Lift, Germaine de Capuccini, and SkinBase across their channels.
If your skin likes a quieter, treatment-focused salon with serious exfoliation options, I figure this is a good place to check out. However, it sits in the full-service bracket, which can feel pricier than a simple neighbourhood salon if you’re popping in for a simple treatment.
Delighted with my nails

4. Virgo Beauty & Skin Care

Address: 158 Dumbarton Rd
Contact: +441412612315
Business hours: Monday to Saturday, 10 AM–6 PM
I have a colleague who was having a mini meltdown about our impending art gala. I sent her to Virgo Beauty & Skin Care so her lashes can have some lift (along with her mood).
She liked it as it suited her event prep nerves, with its polished yet efficient ambience. It’s got a clean, friendly, well-run reputation that’s more useful to her than some influencer reel touting its pros.
Virgo is best for eyelash extensions, brow tidy-ups, facials, waxing, BIAB, and gel nails. It’s become our go-to for those days when we need visible glow-up results, fast.
We appreciate that the salon also includes more advanced skin options, so it’s not just a basic lashes-and-polish stop. It’s a great pick for those in the West End who need event-ready lashes, manicured nails, and reliable beauty upkeep for most days of the week.
The main drawback is that it’s more of a broad beauty hub, which might not sit well with artsy types looking to have their nails become extensions of wild, creative expression.
My facial hair has lessened significantly already
I have had facial laser hair removal at Virgo. Being South Asian with melasma, I was really worried about it, but it’s been amazing. I have had 2 treatments and my facial hair has lessened significantly already, my melasma has also lightened, and my skin texture also looks and feels better. Ella is a genius. I cannot thank her enough!

5. Natural Beauty Advanced Electrolysis & Skin Clinic

Address: 217 Hope St
Contact: +441413331155
Business hours:
Tuesday, 10 AM–6 PM
Wednesday to Thursday, 10 AM–8 PM
Friday, 10 AM–6 PM
Saturday, 9 AM–5 PM
My Mum is a snob when it comes to her nails. She treats gel polish like it’s a moral issue, and only goes to Natural Beauty on Hope Street because she trusts her nails with them.
They make a point of using only Shellac and CND Creative Play, so her much-coveted long-lasting shine box is ticked. She also likes the quiet, treatment-led ambience with none of the gimmicky, trendy flashiness of other beauty salons.
It also stands out to Mum for mixing a nail lounge, lash & brow lounge, massage, wellness, electrolysis, and skin treatments under one roof. She says it makes pampering days feel extra special and convenient for her.
The key draws for her are the hybrid gel polish manicures and the advanced electrolysis and skin clinic treatments. She gets her nails and skin treated within a calmer clinic, and doesn’t make her feel fussy for wanting certain brands to be used on her.
The trade-off is that it feels more practical and clinic-led than indulgent or glamorous, though Mum doesn’t seem to mind. As long as she comes out with glamorous, flawless nails and skin, she’s happy.
I love going in to get my nails done
I love going in to get my nails done. Sandra and Laura are lovely, and I got some really useful advice today. Thanks again.

Professional, friendly, and they put you at ease immediately
I had an amazing Floating Facial treatment with Laura, and my skin feels the best it’s been for quite some time. Laura and Sandra, the therapists at Natural Beauty, are fantastic. Professional, friendly, and they put you at ease immediately. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my treatments, and I can highly recommend Natural Beauty.
